HD VISION ULTRA
HD VISION ULTRA (As seen on TV) Fraudulent charges- doubles every order scam! Internet
8th of Sep, 2011 by User698128
In Feb. of 2010 my husband and I saw a television ad for HD VISION sunglasses- They were advertised as $10 per pair- with a free pair per order - S&H was $6.99 per pair. I thought that was a bit high for shipping, but my husband ordered them, over the telephone. When they arrived, we found they had sent FOUR pair-(two orders instead of the one) My husband called them and they said it was an accident- to return the one order and we would be reembursed the $10 but not the shipping (which was TWELVE dollars- We decided to just keep them. I DO like the glasses. We gave away three of the pairs to relatives, and I kept the one pair. They really help my eyes as I cannot see well, and they help. It happens that I accidently broke my pair, and decided to order more. Since I no longer see their ad on tv-I found thier website on the Internet and went in to place my order. They were still advertised as TWO pair for $10 plus $6.99 each pair, shipping.
I clicked on 'ORDER NOW'... Filled out all required information- including my credit card number. When finished, there was NO 'continue' button to click on- only the 'CLICK HERE/PLACE ORDER red button AGAIN- I clicked it AGAIN (fearing that NOW I had placed TWO orders- My information came up again- along with the red 'CLICK HERE/PLACE ORDER button. i was afraid to click again- feeling I was being scammed. No "Thank you for your order"...No email of order confirmation- Nothing! I called their customer service number- was placed on hold and then told that 'due to the ovewhelming demand for these sunglasses, they could not take care of me and to call back another day????? I went BACK into their website and clicked on the link to 'check my order'. Now THIS is what surprised me- my current order wasn't listed at ALL- but my husband's order from Feb. 2010 was there. THIS is when I saw- for the first time, what we were actually charged for our first order (where they 'accidently' sent two orders) We were charged- on my husband's credit card- $80.89!! NOT the $10 for each 2 pair plus $6.99 shipping X 4 pair . The order states that we were charged- instead- $25.95 for each 2 pair! I had NO idea they had charged us that much- for two $10 orders plus shipping of $27.26 (47.26 we SHOULD have been charged- but instead, they charged our credit car $80.89!! Unfortunately- my husband paid no attention to what we were charged, and it's now too late to do anything about it. NOW I am fearing that this NEW order I placed (which they say they cannot find) will suddenly pop up on my credit card for several orders! This company- both on television and their website is a total scam and should be stopped. They 'accidently' double the orders and fraudently charge your credit card for more that what you bought. It's really a shame- because I DO like the sunglasses.
