HealthLine One
HealthLine One Shay Not only a scam, but they say they provide healthcare for pre existing conditions Internet, Florida
3rd of Nov, 2010 by User588742
I used their internet service for qualification. I have a pre-existing condition and checked that box. I got several calls within minutes, so I let them go to voice mail. Shey (sp?) left me a message. The first part he did not realize that he was being recorded. I have saved the voice mail. This is what he said:

another mother f.....g faggot, just like richard simmons queer, etc... pause then he says:

Hi I am Shay with Healthline one and I have great news for you, we have a low deductible plan that covers.,..... call me back at...

I am in healthcare and have been for over 20 years; this is disgusting to me that they are still in business.

Agreed, This IS NOT a typical health insurance plan. If you download their coverage breakdown from their website it says that in bold font. Its not meant to replace normal coverage. Its a supplemental. of course they dont tell you this on the phone. suggestion: tell them you are recording the convo and ask them to explain the coverage limits to you and see what they say.

I just got off the phone with this company- they told me of a " traditional major medical " health insurance plan that costs about 1/2 of what I was seeing for other companies. They said it was thru Safeguard insurance company and they needed a $125 application fee right away. When I asked for the quote by email they said it was illegal to send a quote because it had not been to underwriting (duh! that is what a quote is)... are these guys just getting app fees?

T I use to work for healthline one, but left after a couple of weeks when I realized what a big fraud the company is. Where should I begin...well the people I worked for started off as nice professional people. They had there mother in the office and before starting work they would do a prayer n get on the phones. Sounds pretty nice right... literally within the SAME hour u had management pistol whipping the agents and I quickly found out that this operation is ran by some italian lynch mobb full of convicts, right down to the owners them self! ALL have been to prison (some for violent crimes) and yet they found a way to stay afloat. They had a manager ( who is also a convicted felon) who not only is a alcholic but is literally nail u to the cross for giving away info about health! I thought that's why I got in the field. The insurance that they sell are completly bogus. It is only a discount plan and the most u wud ever receive from the insurance is more outta pocket expenses. They don't care what they have to say to get u to buy because when u do, they just made 100 of of u thru a enrollment fee! The whole point of the company is to get u to believe that u can't qualify/afford major medical and sell u a discount plan. When u keep it for two months the agent doesn't pay the company back what they got paid for but if u don't. Keep it for two months the convicts don't care. THEY JUST LEGALLY STOLE ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS FROM YOU!!! Don't give them any credit card info this office is full of criminals! Just do ur research on bill barone and kris basso. These guys are crooks who want to take ur hard earned money and don't care to help anybody looking for health coverage. I'm not from florida but they sure make south florida seem hideous! I left after getting spoke to like a was a child by a convicted felon who is running a down line call room that was started by drug money! If u get a call from them do urself a favor and google who u are talking to...

It's very unfortunate that you had this experience. I on the other hand, had a similar situation, and the results turned out to be in my favor. I had a pre-existing condition and also checked the box online. I recieved a call from Health Line One, although from a different insurance agent, and he was very helpful. He gave me a clear discription of each plan that would fit for me with my existing condition. He patiently stayed on the phone with me answering all of my questions, until I finally made a decision about 30 minutes later. He then passed me on to another young woman who quickly and efficiantly ran me though the verification process. Within five minutes I was verrified and insured. I have had this plan for over nine months and it is exactly as the young man told me it would be. I get all the benifits he told me I would, and I do not get specific benefits that he honestly told me I would be unable to get because of my pre-existing condition. I had a very plesant experience with this company, and the young man I spoke with. I regretably do not remember his name or would call him back when my plan expires. Although I may not work with the same agent, I will most deffinantly be using Health Line One when I am ready to get requoted and sign up for yet another insurance plan.

RESOLVED - Health Line One has contacted the above posters and confirmed that the first poster was actually confusing us with a product called Health Option One. Health Line One is an agency that sells health insurance. For those who do not qualify for or cannot afford major medical insurance, Health Line One offers a variety of supplemental, short term, and limited indemnity plans. The second poster is not a customer and their complaint should not be taken as a customer complaint.

Shopping for health coverage is challenging. Health Line One has a full time customer service team that assists clients long after the initial sale. They stand behind the policies they offer, which comprise plans from the top A-rated carriers in the nation. No plan covers 100% of all medical services, and that can be frustrating. This is why customers need to consult with an agent to find the best options for them in their area. Health Line One can be reached at 1-800-606-1671.

The people who said something nice about his company are M.haliburn & HLO Response Team. Please note: It posted on the same day! Probably from a same guy from the company!

It is a scam. I received three calls from them. two calls said that they are healthline one, one call said that they are USA select choice. I can totally tell that they are the same people. They are really rude. They just want push you purchase the insurance throught the phone call. I asked to see the coverage on the website or by email, they told that it is illegal to release it before I pay it. Why do I buy an insurance without knowing the details? then I ask the agent's phone number and name, so I can call him back. All the three agents called me said no. I doubt that they have actual company in USA.

The people that work for this company are rude and had the gulls to laugh at me when I questioned their coverage. They are pushy and call 12 times a day and if I get one more call from them I will contact the BBB.

Healthline One is scam, misleading and pieces of sh#t. On the phone now disputing the initial $47 credit card charge. We were suppose to pay another $309 in a month. I'm glad my BS alarms went off first.

I was doing some online healthcare pricing and after submitting my contact information thru one website I began immediately to get calls from 602-883-8944 which is a local number for me. After speaking briefly with the receptionist I was then connected with an "agent". I had to interrupt this New England motormouth vigorously to get the company name, HealthLine One in of Florida from her. As is my way, I started web searching them as the conversation went on and low and behold page after page of complaints came up. Her first pitch was for a non-compliant plan for $189/month. The compliant plan she pitched was 3 times the money! Because I had already looked into rates I knew this is nothing but a huge SCAM. After raising the point about all the bad reviews for her company she insisted I would not be able to by a compliant plan for less than $600/month and I know better. RUN FROM THESE GOOMBA SCAMMERS! BLOCK THE #!
