I'M LAUGHING AT THE FOOL THAT WROTE THE ABOVE COMMENT!!
CONSIGNMENT STORES HOLD ITEMS FOR 90 DAYS.
THAT IS THE LAW.
STORES DON'T HOLD THINGS FOR 9 MONTHS.
AFTER 90 DAYS IF THE ITEMS HAVEN'T SOLD. AND THE CONSIGNOR HASN'T PICKED THEM UP, THEN THEY BECOME DONATEABLE. THE STORE DONATES THEM. AFTER 90 DAYS THE STORE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ITEMS THAT THE CONSIGNOR LEFT ON CONSIGNMENT. I GUARANTEE THAT THE CONSIGNOR SEES THIS IN WRITING ON SIGNS IN THE SHOP AND THAT THE OWNER OF THE SHOP VERBALLY TOLD THE CONSIGNOR AT THE TIME THE ITEMS WERE DROPPED OFF.
HEIDI LICHTENSTEIN, CAN BE ANY WAY SHE WANTS.
FACT 1) SHE IS NOT VERRESPONSIBLE FOR ITEMS LEFT AFTER 90 DAYS IN HER SHOP.
FACT 2) THE CONSIGNOR HAS NO CLAIM ON THE ITEMS LEFT 9 MONTHS AGO
FACT 3) IF THE CONSIGNOR WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT THESE ITEMS, HE SHOULD HAVE PICKED THEM UP BEFORE THE 3 MONTHS WERE UP.
FACT 4) THE CONSIGNOR SHOULD NOT MAKE SLA NDEROUS THREATS AGAINST THE OWNER OF THE SHOP AS HE CAN GET SUED FOR SLANDER. IF HE WAS SO WORRIED THEN WHY DIDN'T HE PICK THESE ITEMS BEFORE THE 90 DAYS WERE UP.
FACT 5) THE CONSIGNOR DOES NOT HAVE A LEGAL LEG TO STAND ON. HE HAD 90 DAYS AND HE DIDN'T GO BACK TO THE SHOP TO PICK UP HIS ITEMS.
FACT 6) THERE IS PLENTY INFORMATION ON GOOGLE REGARDING RULES FOR CONSIGNENT SHOPS 90 DAY CONSIGNMENT POLICIES. ABIDE BY THEM. DON'T GO BACK 9 MONTHS LATER. THE SHOP OWNER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ITEMS AND MOST LIKELY THEY ARE NOT IN THE SHOP ANYMORE AND YOU LOOSE YOUR RIGHTS TO YOUR ITEMS IF NOT PICKED UP BEFORE THE 90 DAYS ARE UP. |

I also left a fur coat with Heidi. She did NOT tell me about a 90 day clause. I called repeatedly during the next 6 months and the phone rang and was not answered, except once and the man said Heidi would call back and did not. Finally 10 months later I spoke to her, and she said to leave it another few months. Now I call and the phone is disconnected. She is a very dishonest person, a thief, and even if the law protects her, she is depending on people's ignorance of consignment laws. A very unethical person!!! |

I did the same thing as the above person. I brought in 1 mink coat and 1 mink stole. Also a Persian Lamb coat. Heidi told me to leave them for 6 months and see what happens. She told me that I could trust her, and did not tell me about any consignment law. At the end of the first three months she said to leave it longer that my furs would definataly sell. The next month she called me and told me that the mink stole sold, and told me I could go and pick up my money, or she would mail it to me. I went and picked it up. Again she told me to leave the other stuff for another 6 months and as the weather gets colder, it would all sell. I tried to reach her, and found out that the business was closed. Just called another vintage clothing store in the same area, and they told me that Heidi did reopen her business as Upscale Vintage and that she sells by appointment only. Very interesting. If anyone finds out any information please email me [email protected]. |
