| I was high pressured in signing up for this school their program costs $20,000, it seemed like a good school though, and they said I would get a degree so I signed up. After awhile about a month of going to this school, my personal belongings were getting stolen, after making a report to police I found out that a lot of gang members go here and they have had many reports of things getting stolen. So I did more research and found out that they were offering a degree for careers where only a license is required which means its a fake degree. I checked out their accreditation and found out that it was bogus as well. I was pressured to withdraw after asking questions to the school about this, and when I refused to withdraw, my grade began to mysteriously drop, so I had to withdraw. They say I owe them $5,000 now they stripped my financial aid money that I am allowed for the year and now I cant go to school until I repay them and 8 months has passed to get my loans for the new year. Dont make the same mistake I did dont go to this school its fake. There are better schools to go to and be done in half the time for half the cost. They make you go there for 15 months and pay $20,000 and then they say you will get a degree but all you get is a heritage college certificate saying its a degree they just tell you that you get a degree so you will go there longer and pay more money! Watch out this place is a SCAM...The teachers are also incompetent and probably arent even certified to teach certain things, certainly not for a "degree" program. Rude/ incompetent staff, dirty, and over capacity classrooms. They will also try to turn you into a workhorse, and they have a bad name known for their incompetency, you will not get hired anywhere if you go to this school. The place outta be shut down! |

| I decided to check Heritage College out because I was Interested in their personal training program. I was told to come in for a meeting and it sounded like it would be a relaxed informal way to check out the school. I decided to go to it and to this day regret that I even stepped foot in that place! At first the staff seemed friendly. They seemed very interested in getting me to come to their school and the the Admin who was interviewing me sounded very excited for me. Then out of nowhere my sixth sense started to tell me something was wrong before i even began to realize how much of a con this school really was. The admin seemed unusually friendly and interrupted me on numerous occasions to take calls from other prospects. It left me feeling awkward and disrespected to say the least. After barley listening to my heartfelt answers to his questions he then said he needed me to write a letter so the board could judge as to whether I would be a good fit for the school. I started to laugh in my head because I had seen some of the quality of the students and knew their standards were average at best. After that I told him I needed to go home and think it over. He then told me that i should sign up anyways because I could just easily cancel at any point. Being stupid i did figuring it might help in the long run. He then told me I they like students to pay a small fee per month to help the school out. He asked what I was comfortable with and I told him that i was honestly just a poor college kid and I would be uncomfortable with paying anything a month. After going over the fees and paperwork he came saying I would only have to pay $25 a month! This is after I already told him I couldn't pay anything! I was angry and I told him that i would have to go home and discuss the paperwork. That seemed to satisfy him and so he wished me a good day with a disgustingly fake smile and attitude. I went home and decided that I had plenty of time to decide so I relaxed and decided to take my time. The admin would have none of that and constantly called my cell at the worst times in the day. One day I was sitting down eating Breakfast when it hit me... this school is just like a car dealership! It's a business first education second school. And the admin are nothing more than con artist who sell shit used cars and by cars I mean an over priced degree. I checked out Metro State and came away with a great feeling. They weren't trying to sell me. They cared about my education and I never felt pressured to sign up. I made up my mind to go to a real school and I trusted my gut instinct. I called the Admin and politely told him I would not be attending Heritage. He told me I would have to come back and sign papers, a little fact he forgot to mention when i signed up the first time ha. As expected like a true salesmen, when I came down to sign the exit papers, he tried one last attempt at getting me to stay. After refusing he rudely handed me the papers to sign and after signing he didn't even shake my hand, let alone wish me good luck. He showed his true colors and showed what Heritage was really about. My advice is to go to a real school that puts education as its top priority. Heritage is a car dealership just with a college theme. Trust your gut and don't let these fast talking salesmen con you or guilt you into a major financial agreement! They are unethical and rude. I can't believe they are so low as to deceive people who are just trying to move up in life. It's all about the money for them and with knowing this take your education to a place where learning is the focus not money. |
