hotels.com
they're liars, con artists, and have horrible customer service! i hope they rot in hell!

I'm so angry I could scream! I decided to book last minute a one night stay with hotels.com on may 29. The same day I book my reservation, i try to check into the hotel to find that my reservation hadn't been booked. I called hotels.com to see what was going on, and they gave me some lame excuse and said it would take another 2-3 hours for them to book my reservation, the guy at the hotel told me he'd give me the same rate as hotels.com and i wouldnt have to wait for the room, i asked the rep at hotels.com if i cancelled my reservation would i get a full refund, she told me i was well within my cancellation rights and could cancel but that i would only get a partial refund right away, and i would have to call back the following business day to speak to a manager for the rest. She promised to leave detailed notes for the next time i called and spoke to a rep. Didnt make much sense about partial refunds and what not but since i was guaranteed i would eventually get a full refund i went ahead an cancelled. (i never got the partial refund) I called the next business day and got the runaround from another cust. service rep claiming i would not get a refund and that there were no notes, i argued with him and told him i wouldnt have cancelled and lost all that money unless someone from their end would have guaranteed a full refund. After being placed on hold he told me i would have to get in touch with the hotel and get proof and some other bull crap. Of course i flipped out and told him that was his job, he put me on hold for over 15 min and told me i was right and they were going to give me my full refund and to allow 3-7 days for it to post to my account. 14 days later and no refund! I have called over 10 times in the past 4 days, i've been hung up on 5 times(each time i was holding for a non-existent manager), and spoken to so many diff reps that i've lost count. They've all promised to have my refund processed right away and that they would send me an email confirmation that i would receive with 24 hours with details of my refund. Of course that was all a lie. I've contacted my bank to file a dispute and they've promised to get me my money back, but now i have to wait another 15 days to go by the banks protocols. I will never use hotels.com again. I wish there was a way to sue them or something! ahhh so frustrated!
