| As the former Project Manager for Chai University, I answered many questions here on this site about the program and issues regarding accreditation. I am no longer employed with the company, as it turned into a complete mess; student enrollments were not high enough, classes still have not started and are not in any position to start! When I was last employed with the company, there were only four enrolled students. There were many issues with the project and I cannot speak highly of the attempts to start classes. "Professor" Jack Bloom has scrambled to start classes - even doing his best to start with only four students - without giving much regard to the fact that it will require many more teachers to teach the classes in order for these students to complete their program. Chai University also claims to offer both MBA and BA programs in Business administration. This was done in a last-ditch effort to try and up student enrollment. As the project manager, I informed Jack Bloom that the curriculums were far too different and would require additional teachers, as they are completely different! He had assumed the programs were so similar the students could take the same courses. Wrong! I felt most uncomfortable with the program when Jack Bloom asked me to teach one of the courses. As a 22 year old student at The Ohio State University, I felt it incredibly inappropriate to teach graduate level courses!! Working with Chai University was a terrible experience. All employees, including myself, were completely shortchanged of our pay - with the money we were owed going into Jack Blooms pocket. As a current student at The Ohio State University and glad my work with CChai University is over, I cannot say this loud enough - STEER CLEAR OF CHAI UNIVERSITY!!! So true, I always say - if it's too good to be true, it usually is! I saw an ad in Craiglist about IB Training and I thought to myself, why would an investment banker put any thing on craiglist? I was not sure so I started finding out more and here is what I found...
A teacher of graduate finance and accounting subjects at New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies was charged last week with bouncing nine rent checks for his E. 79th St. apartment, according to the office of Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau.
Jack Bloom, 49, was charged with one count of third-degree grand larceny and nine counts of issuing bad checks between May 2005 and May 2006. He is free on his own recognizance and is scheduled for a Sept. 7 court appearance.
His landlord, Murray Kesten, said in a criminal complaint that eight rent checks totaling $21, 150 were returned for insufficient funds over the past year and a ninth check for $2, 350 dated March 2 of this year bounced five times. Kesten said Bloom still owes more than $3, 000 rent.
Bloom said he had repaid most of the money to the landlord before he was evicted in May. He is scheduled to teach a course this summer on the essentials of finance and accounting for graduate students at N.Y.U.’s professional studies school in the Woolworth Building in Lower Manhattan.
This dude is a scam artist at its best. Thank god I did not waste my money on this. |

| This moron is still posting ads on Craigslist (which is how I came to learn of him). Let's recap the ways this is a scam: You NEVER pay to intern. Interning at any firm is your time in exchange for learning in the area you are working PERIOD! Second, I sent an inquiry just out of curiousity and it immediately offers you a space if you are interested. I already have an MBA so, why would I pay more money for redundant education (which is not stated in the ad). This guy is foolish trying to scam in this day and age with the internet. Yes, you cannot always believe everything on the internet but if you see several complaints and DETAILS that you can fact check (if you have time) then you know the person is a scammer. Do not give this a guy a dime and enroll in a LEGITIMATE business accredited program if you are serious. Good luck! |
