Huntington Bank Holding Deposits Streetsboro, Ohio

Huntington bank holds deposited checks way too long. Including a check from one Huntington accunt to another. So my boyfriend opened the Huntington account, as that is the bank his employer uses and he gets paid by check. We deposited his check Friday, and it immediately came out of his employers account, as we had him check on this. Today is Monday, and the check is still not showing as a deposit in the account. I find this utterly ridiculous. If I walk into my Charter One bank with a check from someone else with Charter One, and I deposit it, the deposit shows immediately, as I was a check from another Charter One account. Just saying, I feel they do not care about their customers and do this in the hopes that someone bounces and they get their fee. So they can offer that "forgiveness" feature all they want, but it better be cash your running to the bank with, because they hold checks deposited way longer than any other bank. I would never bank with Huntington and my boyfriend will be closing his account.

I am having the same problem made a deposit on Friday I asked if it would be held was told no to my surprise on Monday I find out it is held I am suppose to leave for my cruise the next day so I contact the branch manager Adam Metzger he tells me he will take care of it 1st lie at noon he calls and tells me goodness it will be done today wooohooo right? Wrong he then tells me at 3 pm 4 hours before I am to leave my deposit is a bank draft and he can do nothing so I ask for a phone number to corporate office he tells me he doesn't have it so I told him I will wait in the lobby while you find it mr Metzger then tells me to get out of his bank or he will call the police I am stunned how do they get off treating me their customer like a criminal they are the thieves
