I contacted Intelius on 1/30/2011 to find someone, I was told that a 1 time search would cost me .95 with a 7 day free trial. I did my search and it did not provide accurate information for the person I was requesting information on so I contacted Intelius via their link "Contact Us" to cancel any memberships to their company. I paid the .95 for the search, it was not even 7 days later I started getting charges on my credit card for $19.95 for a membership I requested to cancel and for something else I had no idea what they were trying to collect for. I contacted them once again on 2-9-2011 and was told that I never contacted them and that they would return the money within 7-10 days. It took them 1 day to hit my credit card for their money but 7-10 days to return all monies collected only after I told them about the Attorney's who were investigating their scandelous axctivities. When they say something is "FREE" what right do they have to charge you for it. Banks several years back got into serious problems for stating things were "FREE" when in fact they had hidden charges, what makes companies like these think they are "above the law"? There is nothing free out there anymore, I fell for their scam and tried to fix my error but still got stung and now because of their activities they have messed up my checking account and have cost me $60.00 in fees, but they are not willing to fix that...
