icon security I canceled my service after 36 months and they charged me for the following two months. Won't refund. PROVO , Utah

A sales person came to my door soliciting ICON SECURITY. Before I agreed to the 36 month contract he said if I signed up today he would give me the first three (3) months free. I never got the three (3) months free. I tried calling him as he gave me his "personal cell number" but there was never a response. He also stated around $36.00 per month. $47.00 was more like it. Oh..he forgot to mention sales tax. On a service? As the months rolled on, there were a few times where the alarm went off due to the garage door opening etc..Not a real emergency. They call you first to see if you want them to send someone out to investigate the alarm. If you are not reachable, they don't send anyone out. When they did send someone out it was over an hour before they arrived. Now how this works is, they come out and if they determine there is an actual break in, then they call the police. This is great info if you are a crook. Just ignore the alarm because it will be well over an hour before someone comes out to stop them. I also had some minor issues with the system. Not a big deal but when I called for them to come out and repair them, I was told that I wasn't covered as I didn't have the "SERVICE CONTRACT" that would cost more but I was told originally that It would be included. After three years I had enough and I called to cancel. I was at the end of my contract and wanted to have nothing more to do with such a scam company. I called in and they said I have to write a letter to cancel. I asked for the address to send it and I was told there was no need for that. They would accept a verbal cancelation. BEWARE THEY NEVER CANCLE YOU. SEND A WRITTEN REGISTERED LETTER!
The following month I noticed two months of charges after I had canceled. I thought that it was just an oversight by the company as they have sort of merged with ADT. I called in and was refused a refund for the two months of over charge and was told if I disputed the charge they would make my account active again and start billing me! So what you have to do is dispute and put a merchant block on your account.
Plus the customer service was the worst insulting scam I have ever heard. Who do these people think they are? Trust me.........Stay away from ICON. Big Scam!!!
