Import Collision Kyle Styles Fraud, Auto Theft, UUMV, Auto Body, Insurance Fraud Dallas, Texas
2nd of May, 2012 by User617941
My car, credit card, and keys were stolen. I cancelled the credit card, called the Dallas Police and reported the theft. It turns out that if your car is stolen and the keys are with it, regardless if they were stolen or you may have loaned it, its not really stolen according to the Dallas Police. In other words if your stolen vehicle is recovered and the keys are in it, they have done nothing wrong. (A good hustle for petty theives if they know the game.) Import Collision, Chris Virgin, Kyle Styles know the game. The owner of Import Collision contacted me 20 days after my vehicle was reported as missing (stolen) and he informed me that a woman brought it in for repairs. He said she had lost the keys and needed the car operable again. The owner then had my vehicle towed to the dealership, produced my insurance card from the glovebox and told them to make a key. (I am not mentioning the dealer's name in hopes that they will rectify their error of not verifying ownership by repairing my vehicle back to the perfect and immaculate condition that is was in at the time of the theft.) Import Collision, Kyle Styles, James or whoever is the owner of this shop called me and said that they had an outstanding bill on a vehicle that was registered to me and they "just wanted their money". I then asked him what repairs were done and how much was the bill. He said he would have to look it up and call me back. I don't know if his instant case of stuttering came from his terrible lying, or that he thought he just found another victim that was going to pay this month's rent. He called back 20 minutes later with the total. Towing $250, Storage $900, Key cut and computer programmed $750 plus tax. My reply, "Where are you located? I'll be right up there." He told me he was about to close shop but he could drive the car home to his apartment in Uptown Dallas. I said, "yes, please do that, I am anxious to get the vehicle back." He gave me an address of his apartment on Cedar Springs Rd. and to meet him at 7:00 pm and to end the call I was informed that "he could not take a check but had to have cash for this one." I said, OK. My thoughts were, he couldn't get a car from an impound without being the registered owner, he couldn't get a key made without being the registered owner, and you can't put a mechanic's lien on a car without a work order signed by the registered owner. Well I guess these thieves are good. It's my understanding that Chris Virgin is a pro at getting these things done. I phoned the Dallas Police and asked to be accompanied by them. They claimed that it was out of their juristriction since the car was taken while it was in another city. (a contiguous city although still Dallas County). I then told them if they could be of no assistance that my friend and I intended to strong arm this man from Import Collision because he possessed my stolen vehicle and was attempting to extort money from me for a bill that i did not authorize. Dallas Police informed me that I should not do this because it could be dangerous. Well, No shit DPD, thanks for all of your help. Conclusion: I went to the meeting place, and my vehicle was no where to be found. I neglected to phone Mr. Styles, James, Chris, Import Collision or whoever was using the number of 214-799-1683. I figured he was staking me out to see if I was legit, (or more likely illegitimate) meaning that i was alone and vulnerable and without police or thugs to rob him of my property. (oxymoron, huh?). My thinking was that he was not going to produce the vehicle without getting his money and I was correct. Therefore the car had to be close by just incase I was dumb enough to give a thief $2056.75 to obtain property back that rightfully belonged to me. So I combed the area in a grid pattern driving up each parking garage and lot for the next two hours. Finally it was spotted at a nearby high rise apartment building parked between two cars almost identical. Parts had been robbed from the car, it had been wrecked and VERY shoddy body work had been done, wheels damaged, paint burned by an inexperienced operator of a buffing machine. Good job Import Collision if that is an example of your work. I will highly recommend you. NOT! I then called a towing company to get my vehicle and tow it the dealership where I now await to see who is going to take action on these thieves. And no, the towing company did not ask me to see any identity or proof that i was the owner or why i didn't have the keys. Go figure. I did show them anyway and told them that should be standard company procedure. The towing operator was a nice guy and arrived in a timely fashion so I will not mention their name. After getting the car secured, I then phoned the owner of Import Collision and apologized for not showing up to the meeting because I was having trouble rounding up the money for the bill. I guess he is not aware that I have stolen back my stolen vehicle that he had hidden three blocks away. Just after midnight last night 5/3/2012 I get a text from 469-587-4019 it says, "WE NEED TO TALK. CALL ME" I have no idea who this is but my trusty subscription to Spokeo.com identifies the texter as Chris Virgin. I guess these guys are never satisfied with the depth of the holes they dig for themselves. It appears to me that is pretty easy to be a thief in DFW as long as you have the balls to pretend to be the owner of what it is that you want. Good Luck, trust no one, stand up for yourself, report crime, use your camera on your cell phone, protect your rights and love your children.
