Insprhere Insurance
Insprhere Insurance HealthMarkets, Mega Life and Health, Midwest Insurance Working for Insphere Can Trap You if You Want to Quit Dallas, Texas
15th of Sep, 2011 by User221099
I worked for many years for what is now called Insphere Insurance Solutions. For many years, I was always one of the top producers in the areas I was in. I wrote close to two thousand policies over my years so I know what the company is all about. (Insphere used to known as: HealthMarkets, Mega Health and Life Insurance, Midwest). If you are considering a career move to Insphere BE WARNED. First, Insphere puts a lot a pressure on their Area Managers-the People who head up their local offices, to recruit new agents. Managers are typcially paid lots of extra money to recruit new agents so you will hear all sorts of possbile earning promises of six figure opportunities, training and support promises, even marketing promises. If you decide to apply, you will be asked to sign a very lengthy and very hard to understand contract to which the Area Manager probably won't give you direct answers too any questions, for in part many Managers don't understand Insphere's own contract to new agents. And trying to get Corporate to answer anything directly is usually a waste of time for most people working out of Corporate can only tow the Company line. In a nutshell, once you sign a contract with Insphere, and then decided in a few months, year or beyond to quit, you are locked into the contract which SPECIFICALLY PROHIBITS you from selling any insurance with the product lines that you had gotten appointed for thru Insphere for at least 6 months, quite possibly way way beyond that. So in other words, if you come in off the streets alredy a licensed and established Agent and sign with Insphere, or if you are just starting in the business and then decide that the Insphere culture is not for you, you cannot sell anything that you were able to sell with Insphere including some of the largest Insurance lines in the US pretty much choking you off from joining another Broker or striking out on your own. Once you realize that you want to leave the company, which probably 9 out of 10 people choose to do, and once you realize that making the dream of a six figure income is a lot harder than what was presented to you when you were recruited, or you realize that the idea of you being a captive agent, having to attend mandatory meetings and get anything approved before doing it, you are pretty much screwed in leaving and being able to make a good living elsewhere.

So, with all the success you had, what prompted you to leave?
