ipayment inc Froze our account for potential fraud with no explanation Internet
17th of Nov, 2011 by User406188
We purchased a terminal for credit card processing for our new business. We were told that we were approved, the terminal was shipped and set up and our first transactions processed. On day two we processed a credit card and the machine gave a code of " invalid ID" At which time we called customer service only to find that our account had been frozen due to potential fraud. We were given no reason for such determination and were left with an inability to process credit cards. We were approved by another merchant service and they could see no reason why this company froze our account. We are an auto repair business with no internet sales so I can't imagine why there would be any suspicion of fraud. It put us in a bad situation as we now had repair bills with no way for the customer to pay if they were wanting to use a credit card. It made us very unprofessional looking. This company has an "F" rating with the better business bureau. We feel a little stupid for looking for the rating after the fact. Don't make our mistake! Beware!
