Ira Toyota
Ira Toyota Rear axle fell off Tacoma pickup truck while driving, with only 63,000 miles on it! Danvers, Massachusetts
1st of Feb, 2011 by
The left rear axle fell off my 2006 Toyota Tacoma (63,000 miles) while driving, and destroyed the pickup bed by blowing out through the side. Rear left wheel wound up on the other side of the road with the axle sticking straight up.

Ira Toyota has had my truck for 64 days now, and nobody will give me any information. They say they are waiting for "Regional" to authorize the repair before they can begin, but will not allow me to contact them. I have heard only from their sales manager, wanting to sell me a new one. The "Toyota Experience" in California has done nothing.

Although I purchased the extended service warranty, I have spent over $2,000 on car rentals to get back and forth to work. My trash is piling up because my dump sticker is on the truck. I didn't sleep a wink last night. I am REALLY angry about this.

Nobody will tell me what's going on, and even Bob Ramos (president of Ira Toyota) ignores my emails. This is egregious -it is MY truck...not theirs!!!!

If anyone has advice or wants to take this case, please contact me.
