We visited Iron Hill Retrievers this past summer but did not purchase a puppy from Chris Clark or Riese or what ever she is calling herself these days- Iron Hill Retievers. The Home - Facilityseemed clean but upon further inspection, there was feces all around the property, some of the dogs are kept in the home that also is a hair salon if you can imagine!!! Some of the dogs are kept outside down the hill on the property in a tin shed, with wood flooring, so thekennel smelled andsince is was on wood I dont know how they could possibly keep it disinfected? There was both human hair and dog hair all over the inside of the home, and doors to some rooms are kept closed in an effort to hide the junk piled upin these areas. My husband also recently found outthe Iron Hill Retriever property is in active forclosure, sowe are concernd for the dogs, their nutrition and where they will be living once the place is sold at auction. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate this place a 4 for environment, for knowledge a 2, and for the future of the animals at 1. Do not buy a dog from these people. Iron Hill is alsoco-owning labradors with a veryvery poor labrador breeder in Iowa under the name of McDee Labradors, whose dogs are kept in in a large tin shed without any heat or ACthat will not allow anyone near the building.
Very Badset ups. We have also contacted the State of Iowa and PETA concerning these breeders.

Personally I would prefer to buy from a breeder who does have their dogs in their house so do not see what the problem is with this. When I have company I keep some doors closed to rooms, too -- it is no one's business what our bedroom looks like when they are here to have dinner! From what I understand the above was written by a person who was trying to harm Christina's reputation and is not based in fact. Since she is still living at her home it obviously was NOT in active foreclosure. Anyone who wants to buy a puppy should visit the breeder and see for themselves where the pups are raised rather than believe that of a disgruntled, former friend. |
