I moved in to a two bedroom, one bath apartment. And the bills started at $50. They are now $70-$80+. Its just me and my wife. We used to live in the same complex with roomates. It was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment. And 4 people living there. and the bill was only $30-$40. When I go to the property manger says she fixed it the first time and lowered it $20. The next month she did the same thing. But this month she said call the company. The company number just keeps ringing or just hangs up on you. Other people in my building are having the same problem. And others that live in other complexs but use the same company. Have the same problem.

Yep, same thing here in Southern Cali. My bill has nearly doubled in the last year. I complained and got the run-around..."it's fixed contractually.blahblahblah". A San Diego resident formed a class action and Ista settled out of court. I received a notice saying I could be part of the class and get "UP TO $25" Are you kidding me?? That does not cover what I've paid over the last year plus the settlement did not remedy or cease Ista from past business practices i.e. billing. I called the law firm representing the class and wrote them a letter and now the number is disconnected. What a F...ing load of crap. I'm personally going to seek a small claims against them and the private firm. As for my bill I'm going to send them payment in pennies. They are a rip off... others should seek small claims and report these jerks to the Better Business, Federal Trade Commission, the Attorney Generals Office and local representatives. Occupy these scumbags too!!

Same Scam happening in Shawnee, KS at The Greens at Shawnee apartments, run by Lindsey Management Company, Inc. out of Fayetteville, AR. We get a bill sent from Jacksonville, FL, but send the payment to a PO BOX in Dallas, TX. Those few facts alone are huge red-flags that have SCAM written all over them. Thank you for reporting your experience. Their days are numbered. And to others reading this please leave your thoughts here as well.
