Jump Rope Farm/Gina Madden Gina Madden Lying, Horse stealing, Horse abusing, KILLERS!!!!!!! Internet, Internet
11th of Nov, 2011 by User159344
So, To anyone looking to board, train or buy from Jump Rope Farm/Gina Madden. STAY AWAY!!! We decided to board and train with her as we had just moved in the area. My 2 daughter had ridden and trained most of their lives and always liked the opinions of others. (They are 19 and 21) They had been to many shows big and small prior to going to Ginas including many top 10's at AQHA congress, so they knew about horses and riding. Anyway, on the 3rd day going to the stable early in the morning (about 7) my older daughter found her horse tied in his stall. His grain from the night before still in his bucket and water full, dirty but full. He was not just tied, he was practically hanging. ALL night he was like this. I am fine with tying a horse when he is kicking, digging, etc but this was terrible. ALL night and for no good reason. Gina actually denied it! Ok so that was not a good start but the girls where willing to see things through. Exactly 1 week later my younger daughter showed up to her horse being used in a lesson! Did not know this was part of boarding. That was frustrating and again, blown off by Gina. Thought it was "no big deal" Well it kinda was to us. Still we stayed. 5 weeks later over the summer when we were going to the beach for vacation and that was last minute cancelled my girls went to ride. Found 1 horse there and not the other! We did panic as Gina was gone and so was the trailer. They went to a show and too her horse!!!!! WHo does that!?!?!?!? We were now searching quickly for another stable. Quickly.... 2 days later we got a call. One of the horses was colicing. They said it had been for about 15 hours now. This was the FIRST call to us. We hurried and called the vet and rushed over to the stable. The horse was dead and not in his stall, paddock, or even in the barn! He was already out in a field covered with a tarp. We were being pushed away from seeing him. Was not right. Our vet showed up and I begged him to see what his thoughts were. The horse had saddle sweat marks on him and a badly broken leg. Unbelievable! It was so devastating. We should have moved out sooner but thought this really could not be happening. Shame on us. We got out fast that day and since then have heard from many others similar stories. Be VERY careful!!!!!
