kayjays appliance repair kayjay's, Kevin Jarrell DRYER REPAIR - scam Internet, California
7th of Jun, 2011 by User301734
I hired KayJay's Appliance Repair to repair my broken dryer on May 13, 2011. Kevin Jarrell did the repair. They advertise on the internet and promise a one year warranty of all parts and labor. I paid Kevin Jarrell $165 for a new dryer motor to be installed. I also gave the thief a $10 tip. The dryer did operate empty while he was still here. But as the other poster stated, I did not even get one load of clothes dry before it quit working. I have emailed them and called them half a dozen times and they will not respond. Since I paid via check and made the check out to Kevin Jarrell personally, I am going to file a small claims lawsuit. Anyone else who has been ripped off by these people please post your information so that we can all sue them and get our money back. If you paid cash, I will give you the owners personal information as this is not a corporation. He is personally liable and nothing is off limits or protected from legal action. Very stupid to scam accountants when there is a paper trail, we live for this stuff. Some of my best friends/clients are attorneys and owe me favors. Very stupid move for $165. But what a pain - now I'm angry.

User301734,
I know it's been several months since you posted this, but we had Kevin Jarrell's partner, Keith, come out to repair our washer as a dispatch from QuickFix in Newport Beach. He called out Kevin Jarrell as the company's owner when he arrived.
He diagnosed the problem as a bad control board, put the control board on order and charged us $50 (was $59, but became $50 with coupon - by check to Kevin Jarrell). Then, he disappeared! My wife did some research on the web, called Sears, had another guy come out and ultimately found out that the coupler was the real problem. We've since had it repaired.

In any case, I've made multiple calls to the dispatch guy at Quickfix (Bill- I've had to call from different numbers because, after one call, they stop answering the phone) and he would apologize for the mistake, say that they use subcontractors, and that he would have Keith or Kevin call me back. I haven't heard back from these guys - I've clearly been ripped off.

Are you still pursuing the case? Please contact me and let me know. Please call me at (949) 456-5583. Thanks...
