Was contacted by this individual (Jane D. Russo)/ company (Keenan Group) stating that they obtained my resume through Careerbuilder.com and that I am a match for their "Customer Manager" position (see email # 1 below). I responded with asking for additional information (see email # 2). Within hours I received a response stating that I was hired, even had a job description attached (See email # 3). I ceased all communications and received a phone call from them 24 hours later stating that their clients need assistance with processing their payments. This position responsibilities would entail creating or using an established CHASE bank account and depositing payments to that account, and retaining 5% of each transaction ammount as well as a $2500 monthly payment. The company also asks for your scanned ID/Drivers licence AND scanned Utility Bill.


THIS IS A TYPICAL MONEY FRAUD SCAM: You deposit checks/payments into your personal bank account and the company withdrawls it afterwards. Your bank will freeze the account since the funds are fraudelent and you are stuck paying the full ammount since you participated in this Fraudulent transaction scheme.


WHAT PISSESS ME OFF IS THAT THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN USING CARRERBUILDER.COM TO LOCATE POTENTIAL JOB SEEKERS. CARRERBUILDER.COM IS NOT HELD LIABLE (SEE THEIR SERVICE AGREEMENT) BUT THIS PARTICULAR INDIVIDUAL/COMPANY NAME HAS BEEN SCAMMING POEPLE SINCE OCTOBER 2010 (ACCORDING TO OTHER SCAM REPORTS ON THIS COMPANY) AND CARREERBUILDER.COM DOES NOTHING TO FREEZE THEIR ACCOUNT AND OR MONITOR/SCAN FOR FRAUD ACTIVITIES INITIATED THROUGH THEIR SERVICE. SINCE MOST RESUMES CONTAIN THE JOB SEEKER'S CONTACT INFORMATION, INCLUDING FULL LEGAL NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE AND EMAIL, IT SADDENS ME THAT SOME WILL FALL VICTIM TO THIS CRIME.
