Kota Scooters Poor customer service, Internet

I placed an order on 12/15/10 for a xmas gift for my grandson. The website made no indication that the scooter parts were not in stock. I received an immediate order confirmation by email. I followed up with an email asking for shipping status. I never received a response and never any shipping status.

I followed up with a phone call two days later and they would not answer their phone - "a message said essentially we're too busy"

By the 20th I was desperate and tracked down the cell phone of one of the owners and texted a request for shipping info. I got a return reply that all shipments would go out in time for xmas.

The parts did not arrive.

I called every day and left messages by phone and email with no reply. By the 31st I still had not received the parts or a response.

On the 3rd of January I got someone on the phone who said they had just received the parts.

I filed a paypal complaint/dispute and they shipped on the 6th. But they shipped to my billing address and not my shipping address so FEDEX tried to deliver to an office that was closed and after two attempts advised me to pay $11 to redirect the shipment. Naturally I could not get a response via email or phone from Kota to help correct the problem.

It is now day 27 after the order and I still do not have the order. Kota has had my money for 27 days - $177 - and my grandson thinks that I am FOS.

I have committed my life to gaining satisfaction for this poor customer service.

My wife ordered a part (#5817) for my son on May 2, 2011 and we immediately received a confirmation email stating, in my opinion, "thanks suckers for giving us your money."

My wife has, over the course of a month, called and left emails to which we have gotten no details as to why the single part has not arrived. She has basically been told to WAIT.

I called today, JUNE FN 3RD, 2011 and got the answering machine. I hung up and did not leave a message but about 20 minutes later, I was called back.

I got the story that they had been out of the part when we ordered it (then why not advertise this on your site?) and they still do not have it today!?!?!?! A decent company would inform cutomers of this weeks ago but not the good people of KOTA SPORTS. They take your money, spend it and leave you with empty hands and angry CHILDREN who don't get it. They don't understand BAD BUSINESS, just broken promises, so thank you DEKOTA or whoever you said you were.

I asked for a full refund ($91.06)and will be waiting impatiently to see if or when it arrives. If it doesn't arrive NLT Wednesday, June 8, 2011 I will be pursing legal action against this company. If anyone knows if a Class Action Law Suite can be filed in cases like this please post the information to get that ball rolling.

I will be copying and pasting this to every site I know to help spread the good works of this shotty company.
