Kunthie Pich of Cambodian Express at 843 E. Anaheim Street, Long Beach, CA, accepted cash payment from my mom for airline services from LAX to Phnom Penh, Cambodia with EVA Airways, booked reservations and printed out an itinerary, but later found out by confirming with the airline that they had not been paid by the agent. Hearing through the Cambodian community, there have been 30+ victims, many of which paid in cash because there was a $20+ charge per airline ticket, if a credit card was used. Each international airline ticket was $1,300+ a piece. My mom purchased three. I went to the agency today and saw that the business space had been vacated and emptied, including office furniture and fixtures. There was a sign posted by the building management that the space was deemed as abandoned by the occupant due to failure to pay rent for the business space. Kunthie Pich had been arrested for fraud, but had posted bond. Most likely she is on her way out of the United States and flying back to Cambodia since she does not have citizenship in the U.S.
