So I must say that this is as shocking to me as it is to you but I just had to write and let all know that this place is not what you would think. I must say that this experience was shocking to say the least! We arrived at Lady and Sons restaurant to enjoy an afternoon meal and from the moment my husband and I walked in the rudeness began. The Hostess made us wait for 30 minutes while letting others get sat before us that came in after us. If you know of this restaurant you know there are no reservations so there was no excuse for this! Then we were sat and the waiter came....I wish I would have got his name so that I could post it here but he was very rude and we promptly asked for a new waiter. A tall girl came to our table and beyond the collar of her shirt my husband and I saw a tattoo. I asked...is that a tattoo? She said yes and pulled up her sleeve and showed how it went from her chest all the way to and down her arm. Ummmm, OK? What ever happened to can I get you something to drink? After all we are in a Paula Dean restaurant not a strip club! Anyway we were hungry and discounted the girls willingness to show her body to a few strangers and placed our orders. We waited for our food for a very long time and at one point I decided to go to the restroom to wash my hands. When I came back from the restroom this waitress which we found out to be a Jennifer Jennings or Jennifer Jenkins??? I can't remember exactly was leaning up against my husband with her entire body and had her hand on his shoulder. When she saw me she jumped back immediately. I asked where our food was and she said it wouldn't be long. Of course as soon as she left I asked my Husband....What the hell was that? He was baffled and he being the guy he is was to nice to tell her to step back. He said that she was giving him very seductive looks and at this point we were wishing to have our original server back. Well when she came back out she was talking to the table next to us and we watched the minutes tick away wondering how cold our food was getting while she sat and chatted with other tables. She was not getting food for them or drinks for them just talking and smiling blissfully. And of course when the food finally came out it was cold. We both took 2 bites, paid the bill, asked to speak to a manager and after waiting 5 min. to speak to a manager Jennifer whatever her last name is said he was out back smoking and would only be a min. I don't even know if that was true! I cannot believe that Paula would allow this in one of her restaurants but she apparently doesn't have control of it. It is sad as everything from the hostess to the first server to the second server to the manager were either rude or absent smoking or throwing themselves on my husband while I was in the restroom.
