On October 10th I was given a quote to move my 2 bdrm apt of $380 including travel time - when they finally showed up with my belongings the bill was $1,100 which I had to pay before they unloaded! I had everything in boxes ready to go. They charged for virtually ALL packing materials including plastic wrap for the mattresses and the boxes for 4 pieces of flat glass - the materials alone came to over $400! The quote was for 3 hours with 3 men including driving time - it took them 4 hours to load and 3.5 to unload...I have moved several times using another company and my bill was NEVER more than $550 for moving the exact belongings. These guys moved very slowly. The whole experience was a nightmare - whatever you do NEVER hire Laprom Moving for any reason, unless you have money to throw away...
