Liberty Tax Service RAL Issue, Other issues East Liverpool, Ohio

January 27, 2011 go in to local Liberty Tax (not the norm, first time customer). File taxes, opt for RAL due to needing money. Not told RAL may be denied, never had an issue in past with RAL. Check should have been delivered on 29th. No check on 29th, Liberty does not know why. I call Republic Bank, I find there is an issue and the RAL has been denied but they cant tell me why. They tell me Liberty will be able to tell me. I call Liberty back. Phone etiquette is sorely lacking in this place as I was basically told I didn't do your taxes and I'm with a customer. I will call you back when I am not busy. Rude, Rude, Rude. No call back. I call corporate office. Again no call back. I wait until Monday. I call Liberty Tax local again, still no answer. I call corporate office again, still no call back. In the meantime I discover what the issue actually is. Local office calls me back to ask me if I was sure that I filed my taxes there? Federal government tells me my taxes were not filed at all. Corporate office for Liberty attempts to help me, sort of straightens out some of the issues. I receive a check but am told that some tax fees will be refunded. Today is February 14. I was told the check was mailed 10 days ago. This past Friday I emailed corporate contact to let him know check was not received. He emailed me back and told me he would check it out and let me know what was going on. I received no communication from him. I again email him today and ask what the issue is, if there is an update on where my refund check is. Today I received a call from local office telling me that they had been asked to call me and see what my issue was. The ISSUE is that I expect a refund. I have been given the run around and treated very poorly. I will NEVER go back to this place again and will not recommend it to my friends and family. Where is my money??? That is the bottom line. I am no longer happy with I am sorry, etc. At this point I feel like I should be fully refunded for all the time I have spent trying to get this problem resolved. My time is worth money also. The only plus side to this is that the local office did apologize to me over the phone for the trouble which was definitely warranted and appreciated.
