Live PC Solutions swreg.com LivePCSolutions telephoned me and informed me that they were an affiliate of Microsoft, and that too many error messages
23rd of Apr, 2011 by User654243
On Saturday 14 April, I was telephoned (I have no idea how they got my telephone number) by LivePCSolutions (although I do not recall them giving me this name, this is the name they are using to try and get me to pay them via Nacho.org) informing me that they were employed by/affliates of Microsoft and were receiving too many error messages from my computor, and they needed to clear them, they asked me to go to a program situated in the bottom hand left of my laptop and open it. They claimed they were from India.
A window then opened and hundreds and hundreds of lines appeared some with yellow triangles (they asked me to count these) and some with red exlamations marks.
I was totally panicked, as I had already paid out twice to have my computer de wormed, de trojan horsed and de virused, totallying $255.00.
I gave them my credit card and they charged me $399. I then asked them to send me a report of all the viruses they found at which time they started to vacilate and I became suspicious.
I called my bank and they stopped payment.
Since then the companies I have listed have contacted me by email several times trying to get me to pay them.
I shall be reporting the fraud to the police. And to the Better Business Bureau
There are various IP addresses in all of the documents I have printed out. I have now deleted all emails from the various companies.
They also gave me a 718 telephone number, which I cannot currently find, but have not thrown away. Anyway, when I called it, it was not an active number.

You feel such a sucker, which is why I've not told many people. I fell for exactly the same line, as I'd been having trouble with my computer. Got stung for £200. They did actually do some remote work, but only the kind of stuff you can do yourself. Within a week I got on to MBNA, who had their phone number and put me on to them, which wasn't what I wanted.

I'll put it down to experience.

Just received a call about 5 minutes ago, considence, just heard a news cast about a scam going around. Noisey call...poor reception...accent probably India...said my couputer was scanned ...errors found...asked for his/her name? ..."Alex"...company?" Live PC Solutions."..so I asked for a number to call back as my phone showed unavailable name and no...said I was busy. Alex told me he/she was unable to give me no...so I promptly said "If you are unable to give me a callback no then I am unable to talk...good-bye!" Feel bad if this was legitimate...but I really don't think so.

I received a call from the same company, they claimed to be Live PC Solutions, i ended up paying USD 399. I am really confused if this is a scam. However i called them up and they picked up my call and serviced my computer free of cost which they promised while taking USD 399. I have been getting good response from them and I just hope they continue doing that.

This company has called me 4 times within the last hour. I have repeatedly tried to get information from these idiots because they are full of crap and trying to pull a scam. They claim my computer has malware and has reported error messages to them in the last several days. I know this is an untrue statement and I know this company is bogus! I have been out of town for the last three months so it can't be true. Not only that but after repeatedly asking them not to phone me back they kept calling and on the last call the Indian guy told me to f*** off when I told him I was going to report him to the authorities.. how rude and unprofessional..just another reason I know this IS A SCAM!!!

SWREG has scammed thousands of people, including me. You can get your problem resolved by filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau at https://www.bbb.org/file-a-complaint/ . Also, send a complaint to the Attorney General's Office of Minnesota from their website: http://www.ag.state.mn.us/ElectronicForms/ComplaintForm.pdf .
If you file a complaint, they have to act. Also, this will help to keep them in check in the future.
