"LJW Security Services & Training, Inc" Fraud "Ljw Security Services & Training, Inc" with the slogan "Consistency, Excellence and Pride", is a complete Fraud. The specific location where i encounted their employees misleading and fraudulent practices is at: 80 Broad Street (6th Floor) New York, New York, 10004; with the email address: [email protected]. And may i point out, This business does not even have a Legitimate Business Website. But, more importantly, let me explain why this company "Ljw Security Services & Training, Inc" is a fraud. On August 11, 2011, i called up "Ljw Security Services & Training, Inc" using a phone number that i found on a Ad that was posted by one of the employees of "Ljw Security Services & Training, Inc". The Ads never specify the business name "Ljw Security Services & Training, Inc". You only are told the business name after you call. I called and asked about jobs and i specified that i had my "8 Hour Annual Certificate", and my "On The Job, Training Certificate" as well as my "New York State Security Guard License", and was told i would need $80.00 to get my "Fireguard" Before They Could Render Me Any Services! I then asked "Repeatedly" about 3 times... "Is it (Mandatory) that i make this "$80.00" Payment for my Fireguard (Before i am rendered any services or Helped to find a job?) and i was told "yes", and i also asked the Person
on the phone: "Is $80.00 All I Need For My Fireguard?" and that's it... Nothing Else and the Person on the Phone [The Employee of: "Ljw Security Services & Training, Inc"] said "Yep! That's all you need!" So being happy with what was said and knowing that i can finally move forward from my old job (where my boss talks to me and fellow employees like dirt under his shoe) and into a better brighter
future, i went there, on my check-day: August 11, 2011, to [80 Broad Street (6th Floor) New York, New York, 10004] and presented them with my "$80.00 Money Order" to make payment. The "Same Employee i Spoke to On The Phone"
when i got there took my money order and zipped off with it somewhere, and then came back with a Printed Document titled "Enrollment Agreement" which had a small area you had to fill out at the top; and then a couple of lines down the Document, is the Title: "Training Pricing & Packages" and the Employee then began to point her
finger at the [ "Fireguard" ] Pricing which read "$235" (Two Hundred and Thirty-Five Dollars) and told me "thats what i would need To Get My Fireguard" and i then explained: "But, you told me on the phone that the "$80.00" is [All i would need] repeatedly. Frustrated i then asked, "Why, didn't you tell me that i would need that much money??!!!" and she just explained that i can pay the $80.00 and take the class same day: August 11, 2011. BUT... I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO RECEIVE MY FIREGUARD UNTIL THE "$235" (Two Hundred and Thirty-Five Dollars") IS PAID IN FULL! Shocked by what i was hearing i then thought to myself "These slick little...". So the "$80.00" Is Just A FRONT to get you there... to 80 Broad
Street (6th Floor) New York! After that Big LIE was acknowledged and the initial UPSET that i felt after being told the Real Amount Of Money i needed For My Fireguard, and knowing how my present job was going [my boss constantly disrespecting me and insulting me in front of co-workers and the work environment, especially the locker room making me sick due to lack of maintenance and building upkeep] I then pulled out my Chase Bank Card and payed the "$235" ("Two Hundred and Thirty-Five Dollars") which was my "Whole Check" August 11, 2011 and i was left with just $20.00 in my bank account.
I then went to take the Fireguard Class located at: 80 Broad Street (6th Floor), which was just down the hall from the office i was in. I sat through the class for 8 Hours. The class consisted of about 30 students. Free printed and stapled study material / pamplets were handed out [ the same exact study material i saw Online and could've printed and studied Vigorously myself] and the class instructor went through the pamplet with the class and then we watched a very short educational video,
took a short break, came back finished out the 8 hour class with the instructor still going over, the available online to anyone, "free, printed material" and at the end of the class, the instructor said that no one will be receiving a "Fireguard Preperatory Training Course Certificate" [Which everyone was lead to believe WAS MANDATORY & NEEDED to get their fireguard] (Until They Are Paid In Full)and that only those that are PAID IN FULL, will be receiving a certificate. I finally received my certificate on Wednesday August 17, 2011 (the day i was told by staff to pick it up) and the Emphasized, Highlighted, Capitalized text on the certificate (which security jobs and 9 metrotech center doesn't even ask for when you get there to take the test... reads: [Security Guard Training Certificate - Fireguard Preparatory Training Course For Fireguards - Which Satisfies The Minimum Criteria RECOMMENDED [NOT "MANDATED"] By The New York State Security Guard Advisory Council] - and then In Tiny Bold Print it reads - Conducted By: [Ljw Security Services & Training, Inc (Consistency,Excellence and Pride) 80 Broad Street (6th Floor) New York, New York 10004] This course conducted on August 11, 2011 - School Code: 242186. Frustrated at all i did & Paid for a "Piece of Paper!" i stayed away from: "Ljw Security Services & Training, Inc 80 Broad Street (6th Floor) New York, New York, 10004" for a month. I went to go take my fireguard test at: [9 Metrotech Center, Brooklyn, New York, 11201] and IT WAS NOT MANDATORY THAT I PRESENT THE "Security Guard Training Certificate" NOR DID IT DO ME ANY GOOD TO PRESENT THE "RECOMMENDATION LETTER" GIVEN TO ME BY "Ljw Security Services & Training, Inc 80 Broad Street (6th Floor) New York, New York, 10004"of which they (the LJW employees) TOLD ME I WOULD "NEED" TO GET MY "FIREGUARD" AS WELL! Note: The staff at: [9 Metrotech Center, Brooklyn, New York, 11201] told me that when i get employed at a new security / fireguard job to show them the paper i received there stating i passed the test and that my new job location would then be able to provide me with a "place of employment recommendation letter" that i can then use to get my actual fireguard card "physically" in my hand. Which pretty much means that all the "so-called mandatory" LJW services & training / papers i paid for, for "$235" ("Two Hundred and Thirty-Five Dollars") is useless. All the documents "Training Certificate", "recommendation letter", i mention or present from LJW, even today... useless! The Workers at: [9 Metrotech Center, Brooklyn, New York, 11201] Told Me that THE LETTER WOULD HAVE TO COME FROM MY EMPLOYER or my NEW PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT, and that the "LJW" LETTER WILL NOT GET ME MY FIREGUARD CARD, SO ALL I RECEIVED WAS A PIECE OF PAPER STATING THAT I PASSED MY TEST, BUT I STILL DON'T HAVE MY "FIREGUARD"
SO "LJW SECURITY SERVICES" STAFF HAS MISLEAD ME AGAIN! THAT IN MY OPINION IS ESSENTIALLY "FRAUDULENT OPERATIONS!" And a company that deems itself "Consistent" with the Slogan "Consistency, Excellent and Pride" should not be approved by the: [New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services] since PEOPLE ARE BEING "MISLEAD & LIED TO" BY THIS COMPANY! and This Company is Essentially Criminal - "Taking Peoples Money off of False Presumptions" and on a daily basis is doing people an "Injustice" by operating unjustly and unfairly! And any other security company that is found to operate in such fashion should not be approved by the [New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services] also. My Hope is that All Security Companies that Operate In Such Misleading Fashion
Be Shut Down, because in the long run - That Is What Is JUST, and What Is FAIR, That People For Years To Come are not Essentially "Robbed" of the hard earned money they do have while a company flourishes in wealth and perpetrates and fakes "Helping" an Individual. Additionally: On August 11, 2011 I asked (Over the Phone) the same employee there at: "80 Broad Street (6th Floor) New York, New York, 10004" Can they help me find a job in Brooklyn because for a year now i've been traveling for 2 hours to work everyday and it's starting to make me feel sick and i was told "Yes, we can help you find something in Brooklyn". The following day: August 12, 2011, i was sent to queens (nearly a two hour travel as well) to fill out a application for a job in queens (of which i did not request) so again, knowing my current job situation, i went, mentioned LJW and the staff members that sent me,
and no one seemed to know about LJW, and so i forgot about it, filled out half the application which took a hour to fill out since the application was about two inches thick! Then i stopped before i finished filling out the other half which looked as if it would take another hour, and said to the staff there..." you know what... i can't do this" and... frustrated... i just left! After a "Staying away from LJW and Sitting in Upset" month, i came back to LJW because i need a job, need help, and i don't have hardly any money because i had to give it to LJW based off their Lies. And i had to quit my old job things were going so bad, so then on: September 23, 2011, I called the empoyee there whom i had been working with before and i told her i really need something in Brooklyn, nearby my house, and she said she had some stuff like that for me and for me to come in, and so i came in, TRAVELLED THERE, WASTED MY TIME, Because you know what happened when i got there, again, not what i expected! Instead, i got sent to Mid-town Manhattan to meet with a Gentlemen whose name i was given... [jotted down on a piece of paper by LJW staff just as before when they sent me to the other job] (whom i waited upon plus looked for, for an hour) a person... WHOM DID NOT EXIST AT THE JOB LOCATION I WAS SENT TO. Several Staff members at the company i was sent to said no one worked
there by that name. Nor have they been contacted or even heard of LJW or spoke to any empoyees from LJW [and LJW TOLD ME that they spoke with the company they sent me to!], and that they would know i was coming. BUT, when i got there,
no one heard of me, i was not on any "to be interviewed" or "guest" list, as i was previously MISLEAD TO BELEIVE BY LJW STAFF... Two of them! at that moment. In Fact, they seemed to support eachothers Lies hand and hand! LJW is a Scam and a Fraud so far from my experience with the company. Please heed these Words! and... Do Something! Take Action! I went there also ... And I could tell it was a scam ... And when they asked me for the $80.00 I told the man... The supposed director.. to go to hell and that with my law enforcement and 10 + experience.. I had more qualifications then him!! He got mad and asked me to leave I did .. but before I did I yelled to the other people waiting, dnt wast your time this is a scam, any job that ask you for money up front .. can't afford to pay you.
