I purchased magic jack aproximately 2 months ago. For local and calls in the US the phone works with the limitations of the computer having to be on. The problem and it is a big problem for me is calling internationally. I have explorer 8 and Windows 7. Mine is a new computer. I cannot call internationally. I purchased the international minutes(not at the lowest cost avaliable I might add) and the phone rings but then disconnects. When I contact the international phone, in the case the UK, I am told the phone never rang. By the way Skype works perfectly. Now begins the customer service NIGHTMARE! After finally getting through. I am told the problem is being transfered to Engineering. Several days pass. I call back for an estimated date. There is no estimated date for phone problem resolution. I then ask for compensation for my inconvience. I am told there is no compensation for this problem. I ask to speak to a supervisor, I am told they are the supervisor. After much typing (dang chat technical service) I get an email address for my complaint. I then ask for my money back for international minutes purchased. Now they give me an estimated time for my account to be credited. 5 working days. Magic Jack is just not all it is cracked up to be. THEY CHARGE YOU FOR INTERNATIONAL MINUTES AND CANNOT DELIVER. This bug should have been worked ou tall the bugs before they charge the public. I purchased magic jack to save money. Skype works better! Magic Jack get your act together
