MAIF Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund Annapolis, Maryland

Have I got everybody beat concerning this company. I just received a letter from them stating that I had been involved in an accident in April of 1973 and they now want almost 10,000 DOLLARS. That's right, an accident they claim I had 38 YEARS AGO. What is really outrageous, is the accident they are claiming I was involved with, NEVER HAPPENED. In April of 1973 I had just re-enlisted in the Navy and was in the process of being TRANSFERRED TO HAWAII. I didn't even have a car. I've never driven in the State of Maryland in my LIFE and I sure wasn't in any accident in April of 1973. They are also stating that they are "currently investigating the status of my driving privileges Nationwide", what does that mean. Then they go on threatening to have my driving privileges SUSPENDED. THREATS on what even they claim is an accident from 38 YEARS AGO, THAT I NEVER HAD. If you've got insurance with this company, DUMP THEM, THEY'RE THIEVES.
