Main Street Homes, Inc. did not build my home which I paid them $355,000 to build according to code. The roof was not installed properly causing leaks and now air borne mold contamination thoughout my home. The "conditioned crawl space" was not installed according to code. I have had major health issues as a former asthmatic for the last 2 years which are directly attributable to breathing mold. Main Street , Inc. did work on my home during the summer of 2010 but covered up rotten framing timbers and lied about windows leaking due to improper installation. A construction engineer has thoroughly examined my home and taken pictures of the rot, etc. and declared my home should be vacated and declared uninhabitable. ( I have extensive documentation and pictures taken by the engineer). I have a mortgage that is more than the home is worth or assessed for and of course, cannot rent or sell the home in its current condition.

Main Street Homes built this home, and all homes, to code. Chesterfield County approved all inspections and a certificate of occupancy 4 years ago. The county came back out in response to this owners request and again confirmed that the home is structurally sound and meets code. Main Street Homes provided a 5 year warranty which is still enforce.
