Majore Hyundai Motors in Stroudsburg Pennsylvania, also on the web at and youtube at is engaged in FALSE AND DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING, BAIT AND SWITCH as well as maintenance ripoffs.
They have an advertising going on for some time now, STILL AVAILABLE on YOUTUBE, still listed on their website, which lists a HYUNDAI ACCENT FOR $7995. I have downloaded a copy of their video and screen shots in case they try to remove it fast now that they have been reported. OVER A MONTH+ AGO, I CALLED THEM TO SAY THAT I WOULD BUY ONE OF THESE CARS, they told me, "COME ON DOWN, THERE IS ONLY ONE LEFT!". Great! So I rushed on down to buy it and when I got there the same day at 11am in the morning, they said, "SORRY IT IS GONE, ....BUT WE CAN SELL YOU ANOTHER ONE FOR MORE MONEY OR A DIFFERENT CAR FOR MORE MONEY!!". I waited another week, still saw the same ad running, the same youtube video and the same flyers being handed out. So, I emailed the company and asked them to REMOVE THE AD IF THIS IS NOT AVAILABLE, this would be false advertising. FOR OVER A MONTH AND STILL, TO THIS DAY, THE AD IS STILL RUNNING ON TV, THE YOUTUBE VIDEO STILL ON YOUTUBE and the deal still posted on their website. THEY COULD CARE LESS about LEGAL, ABOUT FAIR, ABOUT ANTHING. In fact, all East Long, their commercial with this idiot dressed in a bunny outufit, the owner of this dealership, claimed to be NUTS GIVING AWAY HYUNDAI ACCENTS FOR ONLY $7995!!! However, for over a month, THERE WERE NO HYUNDAI ACCENTS AT ALL!!! AND, to make matters even worse, according to one of the dealers, almost nobody could buy the car for the advertised price of $7995 anyway because that deal is only if you qualify for many rebates, such as college students get $500, loyal customers get $1,000, etc , etc. so if you are not a college student and not a customer before, you price is NOT $7995, it is $8,500 or even more !!! Let me summarize like this,
1. THE COMPANY ADVERTISES A PRICE OF $7995 for a car,
2. If the car was available, you would never qualify or most people could not qualify to get the car for $7995 anyway
3. THE CAR IS NOT AVAILALBE ANYWAY BECUASE ITS SOLD OUT.
4. THE DEALER IS RUNNING THE ADS ON TV, INTERNET, YOUTUBE FOR OVER A MONTH AFTER IT HAS BEEN SOLD OUT! This is NOT THE FIRST TIME I HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THIS DEALERSHIP. I brought my car to be serviced or inspected by them once. They listed over a DOZEN PROBLEMS ON MY CAR with a price tage of over $2,000 and asked me to surrender my car and trade it in for another one because it was bad. When I took my car to another machinic that I knew, the looked at the list and LAUGHED stating, "these people are trying to rip you off". They wanted me to change my car mounts and stuff that was totally UNNECESSARY and working perfectly. If you go to this dealer or buy from them, BEWARE. You may think you did good, but, KEEP YOUR EYES WIDE OPEN. |
