Mode Elle
Mode Elle SCAM!!SCAM!!SCAM!! Belleville, Ontario

Yes I agree-this agency holds the biggest scam Talent Convention called CMTC whereby they have agents fly in from all over to attend-they obviously get a free 4 day vacation for attending and have no interest in the models/talent. They state that you have been "chosen" to attend(anyone can attend) and that you have to have your payment in by March.1st(rush rush rush-so no one can change their mind)-Oh, and if you do wake up and realize that it is a big money-grab-good luck getting a refund-NOT A CHANCE!!! Funny how this agency wins "Grand Overall Agency Award" at their own convention!!!Hmmmmmm. Now for the real truth about reputable agencies: REAL agencies DO NOT: solicit business, have their own acting/modelling classes, have their own photographer that you MUST get your photos done through them and charge fees to join! Hmmmmmmm. Sure, these low level agencies may get you a few print jobs and commercial work but it will only be NON-UNION and BACKGROUND gigs. Only reputable UNION/ACTRA agencies will have the higher jobs and these agencies will ONLY accept you either by referral in the industry or ONLY AFTER you have attended reputable acting classes and/or acting coaching sessions with HIGHLY REPUTABLE acting schools/coaches that the top agencies utilize on a regular basis!!!! To view top agencies-look under the ACTRA website!!! PLUS-always ask if they represent anyone that you may recognize in the business that is working and a professional actor/model!!! Hmmmmmm. Trust me-this business is not that easy-you MUST prove yourself and any agency that tells you differently is a SCAM!!!

Completely agree. Mode Elle took thousands of dollars from my parents promising that I had this fantastic 'new look'. We had to pay for everything, including the portfolio, the photos, the prints of the photos, their course, and being placed on their website. They made no effort to actually find promising girls any kind of work. I've basically forgotten about them now though my face is still on their site. It's been over a year since I 'joined' them and nothing ever came from it, even after getting call backs at their CMTC. They 'had no contact' with the agencies that called me back apparently. SCAM. Waste of time and money. Save yourself the trouble and find an agency with open calls in Toronto.
