Their evaluation form was the most offensive, intrusive, and insulting bunch of crap I have ever seen from any agency in my life. Their multiple choice questions did not offer a way out of sounding guilty of the crime. They repeated the same questions over and over with different wording. They asked if I had had sexual relations with my mother, father, sister, brother, and they asked me to go into detail about all sorts of very personal things. They asked me about all of my past drug use, and made assumptions that I somehow was already a "batterer" before they even completed their retarded evaluation. The form was obviously designed to force people into admitting things that had nothing to do with domestic violence, and it was obviously designed to make me sound like a helpless idiot.

Arriving at their crappy little run-down office in South Hill, Washington, I was greeted by their secretary, who told me to sit down. She chattered on and on with another employee about my personal life, and humiliated me in front of several other attendees of a class that was in session. This was so embarrassing I wanted to die! But I held back my anger, hoping that it would show I wasn't being manipulated.

Then she asked me to tell her my side of the story. I told her what had happened, and she seemed very disappointed with the way I had explained things. She then typed something into her computer, and asked me what I thought about the situation.

In response to her question, I told her that I thought the Sumner Court acted way out of line. I told her that the city of Sumner had filed the charges against me, NOT my girlfriend. My girlfriend had not been injured at all, as I had pushed her away from me, and she called the police out of fear that the situation may escalate. Neither of us had been taken to jail after the police responded to the call, which is very rare in the state of Washington. I told her that I did not need counseling, and it would only make the situation worse.

The secretary then told me that they would get my girlfriends side of the story, and complete the evaluation. I left, cursing the fact that I just gave these IDIOTS $100 of my hard earned money for being treated like a 5 year old.

A week later, a letter arrived in the mail for my girlfriend. I was assuming they would have sent it to the Pierce County Jail in Tacoma, were she was currently "living". I did not open the letter, but I was assuming that it was the silly form for her to tell her side of the story. I was especially angry at Morgan Counseling because I told them she was in Pierce County, NOT at our residence! Idiots!

A few weeks later, I received their letter. To my dismay, they had somehow concluded with their "expert" psychological knowledge that I needed a year of counseling. Phase one would be 26 weekly courses. Phase two would be 2 monthly courses for 3 months. Phase three would be 1 monthly course for 3 months.

They then recommended themselves as the provider of these courses, and didn't hesitate to tell me that I would need to bring $35 for the initial class, but I would also need to pay these scumbags an additional $65 for class materials.

I did, however notice that nowhere on the document did it say that I was absolutely required by the law to take these courses. Rather it stated that a 1 year state certified domestic violence program was "RECOMMENDED". At the bottom of the letter, it said "If you choose to enroll in our Puyallup office classes.." Interesting, it said that I HAVE A CHOICE TO NOT ENROLL IN THESE CLASSES!

I have decided to NOT attend these classes, as I feel they are not necessary, and will only make my alleged anger problem escalate to an unhealthy level. This is a horrible company, and I would avoid their guilt trips and deception at all costs. The Sumner Municipal Court are incredibly evil, and a thorough investigation of their entire accounting department is needed badly.

Read the fine print very carefully from both the court and the counseling center, they want you to think that you are "REQUIRED" to attend these classes, however it does not say that anywhere. The court wants me to attend a "HEARING" where they will make sure that I am in compliance with their administrative nonsense, however it does not say on the summons that a warrant "WILL" be issued if I do not show, rather it states that a warrant "MAY" be issued if I do not show. The last time they had a hearing for me, I did not show, and they DID NOT issue a warrant for my arrest.
