Mr. Rooter quoted 195.00 for a septic draining job. When they got to my home, they charged me 350.00 to hydrojet my mainline; 55.00 per foot for "excessive sludge." totalling 190.00; 150.00 for an "overfilled tank," and 450.00 to hydrojet drainfield which could not be done because of a blockage problem, but they charged the 450.00 anyway! Their explaination was that I needed a new drainfield and the 450.00 was a diagnostic charge that would be credited to the replacement of the drainfield, (forcing me to call them again). I asked for a refund instead of a credit and was refused. After getting angry and talking to the manager, I was given half of my 450.00 back and the other half was charged for diagnosis of the drainfield problem which I didn't ask for. This company ripped me off! This work was done on 10/16/2011 and it is now 12/16/2011 and I need the septic tank to be serviced again. The new company found that all that was needed was a pipe that had collasped be replaced. I will never call Mr. Rooter again and if you are reading this, I have saved one person the agony of dealing with this company! Anthony
