My husband went out on Sick Leave on 12/24/10. He had a doctors release to go back to work on 1/17/11 & faxed it to Schneider on the 17th. My husbands dispatcher told him to meet another driver @ the Atlanta Terminal 1/24/11. My husband was to go w/the driver to pick up a load, drop the load & drive w/the driver to the Pittsburgh Terminal. There my husband would get checked off for driving & for pump equipment, he was in the Bulk Divsion & get a truck. My husband was told that he would NOT get paid for any of this & could not drive the drivers truck until he got checked off. At that point, we were broke, because my husband had to take sick leave w/out pay. We don't have their company health insurance. My husband then told the dispatcher if there was anyway he could get a truck that was closer to our home in the Atlanta & offered to drive our personal car to a closer terminal. The only truck that was offered had 700,000 miles on it & it was located in Charlotte. Well, we had already lost money on my husbands old truck w/them because it was always in the shop. My husband then asked it he could be switched to their Van Division. He would be able to get a truck in Atlanta. He was then told that he had too many electronic log violations, therefore he couldn't switch divsions. This was very strange! NO ONE at Schneider ever told my husband that he had ANY type of violations! So, here we are 2/6/11, my husband finally had to quit & he will start w/a much better company tomorrow....DRIVER BEWARE your just a number w/this company not a person.
