Unauthorized Credit card charges
1st of Jul, 2011 by AirCystal
This was the second company within a month to make an unauthorized credit card charge. The charge was for $49.95 but was billed as $50.71 US . The company have a website and at first I thought they were legitimate and there was some mixup. I've tried to call them using their 1800-514-6993 number (from the website) and all I got was an answering service and never a call back from the company. I've also used their on-line support chat service and found that this is run by chargehelper.com and that they say they no longer service "MYPPHELP.COM" . Well the charge was put through 4 days ago. I'd know if I authorized anything in the last week and I've not!! This was the first time I've seen this charge. When I told them it was about incorrect charges they told me to contact [email protected]. When I mentioned possible fraudlent charging the "chargehelper" person disconnected our chat. When I googled this company I found that they are also making unauthorized charged to people''s phone bills, so I wasn't going to give them my email by writing to a throw-away gmail acount.

Obviously my card number was floating out there without my knowledge. I'm making this report so that others will be aware that this company is making unauthorized charges to people's credit cards and apparently to phone bills as well. (again Google will show you that). I've cancelled my credit card and that is all you can do when your number is compromised, but now I'm wondering WHICH legitimate company, that is charging my card for services has had a security leak? Could it be AMAZON or PAYPAL? Maybe I'll find out by searching this site.

P.S. I've Norton Utilities, with anti phising and only use the card on-line to pay for limited things where a credit card is needed. I take care to ensure the sites have encryption, are an https, or a security lock on the page where info is collected. There seems to be NO GUARANTEES about credit card safety on the internet.

Hi I was the victim of a teeth whitening scam about 2 years ago. Fortunately for me I had my money refunded and no further payments were taken. Thank you Nationwide. I now see another 2 companies have taken unauthorised payments from my account and it looks like the first scammers have held my details and are now using a different name/s to scam me again. Ihave contacted my bank again and hope they can stop these scammers in their tracks again

its not a scam as YOU have given these compnays your card number for a free trail and then not cancelled the sunscription, just be careful where you enter your card number.

Recently went through this. Visa knew all about it. Their explanation is that it is an old company that changed ownership. If you had been on the company's lists (most likely through a different scam) at all as being a subscriber in the past they have re-activated your account and started charging you again.
The good people at Visa got us in touch with MYPPHELP.com and they cancelled the account and sent us a refund cheque for the 5 charges we received.
The guy we talked to sounded like he hated his life, and I am pretty sure all he does for a job now is fieldcalls from very angry people looking to get their money back

I too, got some unexplained credit card charges on my recent Visa statement. The comments above regarding an old company makes sense. I got caught up with a BAD company who I did get to cancel my account after being charged on a monthly basis because I didn't read the entire document in full. Oops, that was my fault, but I did get things straightened out. I was fortunate only in that I checked my statement carefully and discovered the fraudulent charges. I am now dealing with the "resolutions" department to ensure these charges are reversed and hopefully this company (I now believe it is ONE company) will be penalized promptly and for the poor unsuspecting souls - CHECK YOUR STATEMENTS carefully!

First thing you should do is call your credit card company to deal with it to avoid giving out uneccessary information out and they will call the company(ies) as they have a record of all the cases they are dealing with. Then change your credit card!

I also have been charged from this company 4 times in my July bill. I called the number from the description on my bill and talked to a guy named Peter who represents a company called 247 support in Miami. He asked for my last 6 digits of my credit card which a gave and the spelling of my name which i gave (stupid move I thought). He proceeded to asked me what were the amounts of the charges were but he didn't give me a confirmation/reference number til I asked and he then rambled a number. Then proceeded to ask for an email address to send the confirmation number I didn't provide that.

Then I call my credit card company as I felt uneasy giving the information.

According to TD resolution department when you order something online or via phone for health products / skin care etc. this company mypphelp.com works hand in hand with New Vitality Vitamin and doesn't clarify that you also signed up for another promotional trial and automatically charges your card cause they have already shared your personal info. they are a ligit company and will refund apparently. but you must give them you email address for your back up so you can fight it and prove it to your credit card company that they are to refund. So if they don't refund then the credit card company can fight for it for you as you have proof.

Even if you cancelled your order or returned it your personnel information is already shared with this other company and possibily more. Too late . Now you have to wait to get those charges and call them individually and cancel them as well or call your credit card company to deal with it.
Or get a new card asap.

P.S. MYPPHELP.COM is only one of many shared by New Vitality Vitamins

SOME COMPANIES OUT THERE HAVE NO INTEGRITY !!!

Hope my experience helps any or everybody. :) GOOD LUCK
