on july 16, 2008 i called several foreclosure specialists looking for help with my default on my forbearance repayment plan that i made with my mortgage company. After speaking with several different companys national foreclosure relief made me feel most comfortable and seemed to have all the answers to my problem. they advised me of all the procedures that would take place and that they would be able to definitely have me keep my home. they seemed to really care about my situation and fooled me by conviencing me they really cared if i kept my home or not. the same day they had me wire them $1,145.00 which cost $8.50 to send. this would allow them to start negotiations with my mortgage company immediately, i also faxed all my financial documents to them. for two weeks NFR kept in contact with me almost daily, suddenly approx two weeks later all communication stopped. for over 8 weeks i left numerous voice messages occasionally i would get a return call and the few calls i did recieve were all the same reassuring me that everything was going well. one call back told me my papers had been sent to the wrong department either at NFR or my mortgage company. LIES, LIES, LIES!!! ironically i had not recieved any notice or communication from my mortgage company which lead me to think well everything must be moving along just slowly. well into 3 months now im callin trying to get a dollar amount an date on the good faith payment they told me i would have to make, thank god i never made one. i left message after message to have no response. eventually when i would call real people stopped answering the phone they now had recorded voices answering all phone calls. it got to be i might call once a week or every few weeks time went by. finally in february 2009 i recieve a letter stating the federal trade commission filed a complaint against NFR alledging deceptive marketing practices. only one week later did i recieve motion for sheriffs sale on my home. i have filed complaint with new jersey attorney general only to have them tell me months later this matter is out of there jurisdiction. i would need to file with federal trade commission in washington d.c. only to have them tell me to call a few non profit organizations. every number i called could not help me with contacting proper agency or persons in retreiving my monies back from NFR. i finally called washington d.c. back again spoke with a man who listened to my story only to tell me i would have to file complaint with federal trade comm, nevada. ive played with the thought of writing to ftc of nevada over and over in my mind and i have to admit to this day i have NOT filed with nevada yet. while browsing internet tonite NFR crossed my mind again and thank the lord above i found this web site. Please help me i just want my money back. |
