National ID Recovery
National ID Recovery LLC NIDR, National Identity Solutions, NIS NIDR fraudulently charging B2B clients, partners, & consumers for identity monitoring
13th of Jul, 2011 by User475502
National ID Recovery LLC (www.nationalidrecovery.com) is currently ripping its business partners, clients, and customers off by alleging that they are providing a service that they no longer provide. NIDR is an identity theft protection company that charges its clients for identity theft remediation, identity monitoring, & identity theft expense reimbursement reimbursement insurance. Due to its recent financial issues, that began as early as 2009-2010, they have since loss the partner that provided identity monitoring and possibly no longer have access to their identity theft expense reimbursement reimbursement insurance. They have not secured another identity theft monitoring company since their last partner pulled out in October 2010, but they have yet to notify any of their other B2B clients that are charging for the service that they no longer provide. NIDR is subsequently charging clients and customers for this service though they are not providing the service. This in turn is putting both NIDR and all of their B2B clients in precarious legal position being that NIDR is operating fraudulently in this matter. This is not the first time NIDR has been caught in a position like this and until they cease operation, it will not be the last. Any B2B client, partner, or customer should beware. Owners are Ron Logan, Frank Ferrera, and Patrick Jack. They operate under these aliases: NIDR, National Identity Solutions, NIS.

I have just seen this allegation about National ID Recovery and while I have never responded to anything on this site, I felt I had to comment because I am factually knowledgeable about this. While I am not a part of National ID Recovery, I own a company that provides Identity Theft protection and Identity Monitoring services provided by National ID Recovery.

Over 6 years ago, I set out to find a good company to protect my customers. After having worked with two companies that provided a partial solution, I decided to conduct due diligence on each Identity Theft program that existed at the time. During this due diligence, I determined that National ID Recovery provided the best and most complete coverage available. I became a client and partner of National ID Recovery. This choice was based on services offered and dedication of leadership.

In my business career I have few times had a relationship that actually performs, does what they say and continues to perform admirably. Through the years, I have come to know all the personnel at National ID Recovery.

The first untrue statement made in the allegation against National ID Recovery is that a “partner” of theirs that provided Identity Monitoring left and that they have never replaced that service. I know for a fact that this allegation is false. First, I personally know that National ID Recovery utilized multiple Identity Monitoring companies but none were their “partner”. Secondly, I was notified by National ID Recovery prior to October 2010 that one of their Identity Monitoring companies was not performing well and had failed to monitor nearly 30, 000 people that National ID Recovery had contracted for them to monitor. I do not know the name of that monitoring company but I do know that it is the one that National ID Recovery is no longer using. I also know for a fact that National ID Recovery had one of their other contracted Identity Monitoring companies perform their monitoring service because National ID Recovery did not want to have customers pay for monitoring that were not actually being monitored. That would have been fraudulent.

The person that has posted this allegation against National ID Recovery made one serious mistake in his posting. He divulged information that was not in the public domain or public records. He disclosed the names of the owners. For that reason, I know that the author of this false allegation is an disgruntled ex-employee of National ID Recovery and I believe that I know who the author is.

Many times in business a person get hired that feels they know better how to run the company than the people that built the company, I feel this is the case. The first time I talked with this individual on the phone, I knew that he delusionally believed that he should be running the company. I for one, am glad that he is gone.

The only fraud identified in the allegation this person has written are in the writing of the allegation itself. The only purpose this person could have is to do damage to National ID Recovery. While I don’t believe any company is perfect and all companies make mistakes, I know National ID Recovery to be an ethical company that actually does what they claim they do. I believe that it is a crime for someone, disgruntled ex-employee or not, to make such totally false statements.

When I read certain names in the allegation that are not public knowledge, I knew that the author was an insider. Based on what I know for a fact, I will continue my business relationship with National ID Recovery and trust this ex-employee will find his place in life.

I will communicate with National ID Recovery and let them know who I believe the author of these lies to be. While I fully support our Freedom of Speech, I do not believe that a person has the right to post totally false allegations. I hope that National ID Recovery takes legal action to deal with this person.

It is unfortunate that in many cases like these we see someone posing as a partner, client, or just plain passer by, falsly attempting to defend fraudsters against fact. I would be willing to bet the last post is from the company itself, but who knows. It's irrelavant really. Let's get some facts straight here and I will leave you, "the reader", as the judge and jury to do your own research and due dilligence.

Fact:
National ID Recovery lost all of its monitoring providers and does not have one. If they claim that they do, they are more than welcome, as is the last "client" who posted, to provide that providers name and time with the company. If they can't, and believe me they wont, the truth has prevailed.

Fact:
National ID Recovery's owners are public knowledge. They are not a secret, if you have had any dealings with them you know who they are. I just did a quick probe to identify, any layman can do so with google and a call to their facility.

Fact:
National ID Recovery does have disgruntled employees, I am not one of them. The reason stated though is incorrect. I have been told that the reason for their disgruntled employees is National ID Recovery's inability to meet full payroll or payroll at all for several months. I repeat several months. You can do the math of the potential loss to an individual.

These are all fact, not fiction, not a novel of why one likes or dislikes. All I ask is that one does their research and they will find the truth.

Well there you go again with your lies.

I am not sure if you are Chuck, John, Joe, Glen or Billy Bob, it really does not matter, what you call facts are only in your head with a purpose to get revenge which will fail just like your so-called facts. You should also do spell check if you want your lies to appear to be valid and not childish and amateurish.

If you are not a ex-employee as you stated, you have believed someone that has a lack of knowledge (That is easy to see as the truth).

When I know in reality that your initial comments were lies, why should anyone believe your other comments? They will see the truth and you mission.

I took your advice, I did my research and due diligence (spelt correctly) and found your comments are full of it and think you are on a mission to damage National ID Recovery. Well your mission makes you look stupid so where will you go now.

It seems it is only you and I making comments back and forth on your lies. So when anyone happens to read your comments then read mine, have done their research and realize your real purpose is personal and not based on fact. Maybe you should get on with your life, stop spreading lies or maybe try the insurance field or whatever.

Actually I know who you are and You Won’t Get Away With It!

The people are waiting. Everything covered in a response, but what was called for-Answers. We got personal attacks, threats from the "client/partner"-yawn, but still nothing to disbar the truth. We are waiting. By the way, thanks for the spell check :-) this sites spell check feature doesn't work.

Let me make this easy for you. You got so caught up in your ability to spell check and efforts to threaten me you forgot to address the points at hand, Mr. "Client/Partner". Seems odd that you would be so diligent (thanks again for spell check, I put it to use here) to address this article as a client/partner. What is at stake for you? hmmm... Oh and I don't have to damage this company, the only reason I know of it is because they are already damaged and broken. So here you go, served up like a tennis ball. Answer the questions.

1. List monitoring provider?

2. You found owners just like me pretty easily online, didn't ya?

3. What is the explanation for the disgruntle employees if what I have been told is wrong? I was told missed payroll.

"So when anyone happens to read your comments then read mine, have done their research and realize your real purpose is personal and not based on fact."

Not exactly. As a passerby reading this exchange, I noticed that you included the following statements in the same reply :

"I am not sure if you are Chuck, John, Joe, Glen or Billy Bob..."

and

"Actually I know who you are and You Won’t Get Away With It!"

Contradicting yourself does not enhance the credibility of your post.

Well I guess that solved that ladies and gents. The NIDR spokesman (or women) can not and will not provide us with anything different that the truth that I have laid forth. Fact is Fact. Can't argue with that. Please avoid these crooks. It is your only hope.

P.S. ...can someone spell check this for me? :-)

As a potential business client performing due diligence on providers of identity theft protection services for our firm, this debate has been eye opening. It has become apparent to me that 'InfoIDTA', who purports to resell National ID Recovery's services, is someone that is intimately involved in the workings of National ID Recovery. Particularly worrying to me is why National ID Recovery chooses not to respond directly to the complaint. A direct response would have improved my perception of the company.

Using only Google, I have discovered the following regarding the identity of the rebutting party:

InfoIDTA has a high percentage chance of being an acronym for Identity Theft America.

Identity Theft America is a reseller of the Identity Theft Protection plans that National ID Recovery offers. (see http://www.identitytheftamerica.com)

The business address for Identity Theft America is 5655 Spalding Drive, Norcross GA. 30092. (see http://www.identitytheftamerica.com/contact.htm, the business name is even "Identity Theft America - National ID Recovery")

The business address for National ID Recovery and National Identity Solutions is 5655 Spalding Drive, Norcross GA. 30092. (see http://www.nationalidsolutions.com/contact.htm)

The Director (and sole employee) of Identity Theft America is Lanny Britnell.

The CEO of National ID Recovery is Ron Logan.

Lanny Britnell and Ron Logan have co-authored a few documents regarding their new venture, National ID Solutions. (see the following links:
--- http://nationalidsolutions.com/pdf/NIS%20Nap.pdf (refer to page 4)
--- http://nationalidsolutions.com/pdf/Data%20Breach%20Response.pdf (refer to page 4)
--- http://nationalidsolutions.com/pdf/SecureDact.pdf (refer to page 5))

As well, I elected to do some research into the claims made in the original complaint. A simple call to various identity monitoring providers bore very interesting and damning fruit. I encourage other individuals, businesses, and non-profits to be just as diligent in selecting a vendor, partner, or provider of identity theft services.

My advice to those with grievances regarding National ID Recovery:
- Make a separate complaint thread for each complaint. Allow National ID Recovery to rebut each one individually.
- If there are enough of you (employees, vendors, clients) that have the same grievances, consider talking to a lawyer and initiating recompense via the judicial system.

Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV.
