NATUZZI FORT LAUDERDALE JOSEPH MIRABILE REFUSE TO RESPOND TO COMPLAINT! MIAMI, Florida

ON 15 NOV 2012, WE VISITED NATUZZI TO PURCHASE FURNITURE FOR OUR NEWLY RENOVATED HOME IN IN THE CAIBBEAN. WE SPENT MANY HOURS IN THE STORE, LIKED THE ETOILE COLLECTION AND PURCHASED FURNITURE OVER US$ 18000.00 FROM MR. FULVIO CARRIER(SALES MANAGER). AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE, HE DID NOT HAVE ALL THE PIECES IN THE SHOWROOM, BUT STATED THAT HE HAS THEM IN HIS WAREHOUSE AND CAN SHIP THEM IMMEDIATELY. MR. FULVIO GAVE US A DISCOUNT AND STATED FURTHER THAT THE PAYMENT NEEDS TO BE IN CHEQUE OR CASH TO HONOR THE DISCOUNT. WE FELT VERY COMFORTABLE WITH HIM(AT THAT TIME), AND PAID THE AMOUNT IN FULL WITH A CHEQUE. SINCE NATUZZI IS AN INTERNATIONAL BRAND, FROM ITALY, WE FELT THAT WE WOULD NOT ENCOUNTER ANY PROBLEMS. THE FURNITURE WAS BEING DELIVERED TO OUR FREIGHT FORWARDER "CARIBTRANS" IN MIAMI - WHO WOULD SHIP IT VIA OCEAN FRIEGHT TO US IN ST MAARTEN. MR. FULVIO WAS VERY AWARE OF THIS. HE PROMISED TO HAVE THE FURNITURE DELIVERED AROUND THE END OF NOV. HOWEVER THE 1ST WEEK OF DECEMBER, WE CONTACTED HIM AND HE STATED THAT WE NEED TO PAY FURTHER US$ 550.00 FOR PACKING AND DELIVERY. WE WERE TOTALLY UNAWARE OF THIS AMOUNT - HOWEVER, WE STILL WENT AHEAD AND PAID THIS AMOUNT BY CREDIT CARD SINCE WE NEEDED TO GET THE FURNITURE HERE BEFORE CHRISTMAS. AT THIS TIME, SINCE WE WERE UPSET, HE VERBALLY AGREED TO SEND US MORE CUSHIONS AND CLEANING SUPPLIES FOR THE LEATHER - WHICH WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED TO DATE. THE FURNITURE ARRIVED AT CARIBTRANS ON 10 DEC. 2012. UPON RECEIPT WE WERE ALERTED FROM CARIBTRANS IN WRITING THAT THE FURNITURE HAS BEEN IMPROPERLY PACKED AND THEY WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE. WE IMMEDIATELY EMAILED MR. FULVIO AND TRIED TO CALL HIM BUT COULD NOT GET THROUGH. AT THE SAME TIME THERE WAS NO RESPONSE EITHER VIA EMAIL. DUE TO THE URGENCY OF RECEIVING THE FURNITURE, AND WITH A NONRESPONSE FROM NATUZZI, CARIBTRANS WENT AHEAD AND SHIPPED THE MERCHANDISE ON 15TH DEC. 2012, ON THEIR LAST SAILING TO REACH ST MAARTEN BEFORE CHRISTMAS. UPON RECEIPT OF THE FURNITURE IN OUR HOUSE, WE WERE ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED AND HORRIFIED OF THE CONDITION IT WAS PACKED IN. WE SPENT OVER 18K ON EXPENSIVE ITALIAN FURNITURE WHICH CAME WRAPPED IN PLASTIC BLACK WRAPPING PAPER. THE LEGS AND THE TABLES ALL CAME DENTED AND DAMAGED. THE LEATHER ON THE SOFAS HAVE HOLES AND IS RIPPED IN CERTAIN AREAS. THEY ARE CLEARLY SHOWROOM PIECES THAT WERE NOT INSPECTED BEFORE SHIPPING THAT THE OWNERS WANTED TO CASH OUT ON. THESE ARE HUGE PIECES OF FURNITURE AND CANNOT BE WRAPPED IN PLASTIC. THIS IS NOT NATUZZI OR ANY INTERNATIONAL COMPANY SHIPPING PROCEDURES. WE ARE IN THE DISTRIBUTION BUSINESS AND BUY MANY ITEMS FROM USA. WE HAVE PURCHASED MANY ITEMS THROUGH KHOLER, DURAVIT, IKEA, MODANI ETC. ALL ITEMS HAVE BEEN PLACED AND PACKED IN BOXES. WE CALLED MR. FULVIO AS SOON AS WE RECEIVED THE FURNITURE WITH OUR DISAPPOINTMENT. WE SURPRISINGLY GOT THROUGH TO HIM AND SENT HIM PICTURES IMMEDIATELY OF THE CONDITION OF THE FURNITURE. THE TABLES(WHICH HAVE METAL LEGS) CAME ALL DENTED. HE HIMSELF WAS SHOCKED AND ASSURED THAT HE WILL SEND THE REPLACEMENT OF THE TABLES IMMEDIATELY AND WILL TAKE CARE OF THE OTHER ITEMS AFTER THE HOLIDAYS. WE HAVE FOLLOWED UP THE WHOLE MONTH OF JAN WITH EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS AND HE NOW SAYS HE HAS PASSED THE CASE OVER TO MR. JOSEPH MIRABILE WHO IS THE OWNER AND DISTRIBUTOR FOR FLORIDA. WE HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO REACH HIM, BUT WITH NO LUCK. YESTERDAY MR. FULVIO HUNG UP THE PHONE SAYING THERE IS "NOTHING HE CAN DO" - VERY MUCH SO AFTER RECEIVING HIS COMMISSION OFF 18K THAT WE BOUGHT.
