I have been constantly been getting contacted by NELNET in regards to a family member ,who I do not have contact with loans. I usually would listen to the messages and delete them, but the tried to recall the number a few times to notify them of such, yet strangely the number would say your call can not be completed as dialed. I am a full time, 18 credit hour student with a family and I work full time, needless to say my time is non existent so I really don't have time to call and investigate into some company I really have no business with. That was until recently when the messages began increasing in frequency, at work, late at night, and while in class. Not only that, but they had become increasingly vulgar and threatening so I finally decide I am going to get ahold of these people and make them stop. Again the number says cannot be completed as dialed, I recall five times until suddenly... Welcome to Nelnet this call will be monitored... I try to explain the situation and that the calls were getting out of hand, I have no contact with the person they are looking for and the nature of the calls were getting threatening. "John" then informs me that is untrue, and he is with some sort of Federal collection loan agency and that its my fault they continue to call me. I should have answered the phone and he isn't too sure I don't have contact with the person and NELNET has great customer service. I'm not sure if they will call me again, but I will be making a stop over at the BBB to file a complaint as well. I can only imagine what type of methods they use in their business and they would undoubtedly be terrible.
