I was shopping online a few months ago,short on cash,I'm on a fixed income,looking for REAL payday loans.Filled out an application online to apply for payday loan.a bunch of places popped up saying "i was preapproved" for several loans and advances on some debit cards i did not need.It spooked me so i deleted all of my info,opted out of all offers,or so i thought,and decided to just tough it out without the extra cash.A few weeks later i get these debit cards in the mail from netspend and account now prepaid cards programs.i really just ignored them,did'nt throw them away,but i had no intention of ever activating them let alone using them,i don't give anyone my personal info ,and they wanted my social security number just to cancel the cards,when i tricked customer service into answering my call by pushing option 1 on the menu,for lost or stolen cards ONLY it said.So after they electronically transfered over $100.out of an account at my bank that i seldom access,causing overdrafts in two seperate accounts.i figured out who it was,netspend!
