Do not waste your time with these people! After almost an entire year just trying to get the magazine I paid for or a refund, I threw up my hands in disgust and let them keep my measly $18 instead of doing the old run around for another nine months. Their trick is to offer a huge selection of magazines at reasonable, but not the lowest available, prices -take your money, then send you a form - a month or so AFTER receiving your payment - informing you NOT to notify them if you didn't receive your first issue - FOUR MONTHS LATER. At this point you must use a form that they supply with your confirmation that they mail to you a month AFTER receiving payment(why would a business do this unless they expected it to be used - Hmm?) So now, FIVE MONTHS after cashing your check, and you haven't got any magazines(and you won't), you may now send in the form with a self-addressed stamped envelope - because this is what they instruct you to do with their confirmation package - and don't send it before the four months are up(five after the month they took to confirm your order) OR YOU'LL BE IN VIOLATION OF THEIR POLICY AND YOUR COMPLAINT WILL BE IGNORED! Now comes the fun part. After sending in the form - with your SASE - another 30 days go by with no reply - But Wait! - there were TWO forms sent to you - double hmm - and so like a friggin idiot you send it in - because most of us tend to give the benefit of the doubt to our fellow man instead of EXPECTING them to always try to take us for a ride - 'cause, well, maybe it got lost in the mail, or fell behind a desk, or... Anyway, off goes form number two in another SASE and another TWO months go by. So you send off a letter, because when you call on the phone, the girl doesn't speak English and has no idea what you'r talking about. Then finally, NINE MONTHS after They TOOK YOUR MONEY the write to tell you the magazine you wanted stopped selling print editions a couple of months ago and would you like to order a different magazine in it's place? So, I' m going to go through this farce all over again for another nine months? I checked with the magazine in question and they didn't stop their print issues until three months after I sent my money. Hmm. When I asked for my money back they refused saying they payed the magazine(???) and they couldn't get paid from them and therefore they couldn't refund my money, but isn't offering me a replacement magazine good enough and if not then their is nothing they could do. Over the past twenty years I've ordered DOZENS of magazines from various "discount" companies and this is without a doubt the worst. They used to be Garden State Periodicals but I guess their scam caught up to them as the BBB received too many complaints on them and they changed their name to Norther State Periodicals. This is the WORST company I have dealt with in my 35+ years as a consumer. A word to anyone thinking about ordering magazines - use either Tightwad Magazines(Best Service) or American Magazine Service(Best Prices, So-So Service).
