I was startled by a loud knock at the door like it was an emergency. Hence the reason I answered the door. It was a young man selling children's books. He said he lived down the street. His mother was making him do these sales to earn money. If I didnt need any books he said I could purchase some that would be sent to a childrens hospital (unnamed). He also said he was going to Annapolis in the fall. It was quite a spiel. I picked a book and then he said he would get double points if I paid cash. So, I gave him $25 cash. After he left I got on the internet and found articles too numerous to count. Everything he told me was a lie. All of the salespeople tell you they live in the neighborhood when actually they are probably from out of state. They all seem to have the same story. I reported the incident to the local police and they encouraged me to make a complaint to the Arizona attorney general's office. I did this and encourage everyone else to file a report also as I believe I made the first complaint.

Sucker in Roswell Georgia. A very sweet young girl giving the name Emily Jones came to my home last week telling me that she was my neighbor and she was selling books for her soccer team's uniforms etc. She also offered to do a chore for my assistance.She also stated the the team was a 501 3 C non profit and my donation was tax deductable! I also invited her to see my Mary Kay Cosmetics boutique, and she said she wanted to buy some product. I guess I should have let her-maybe I could have recooped my loss of $50 donation I made to her soccer team NXCESS!! Next time...
