17th of Mar, 2010 by User691414
On December 21, 2010 Bestimage Agent Marketing's represenative Phil Doyle called me to solicit my business. I made it clear to him I was not interested in purchasing a web site. He explained to me that I was purchasing a membership in the Leading Real Estate Experts of America and I was one of only a select number of agents being offered this special priviledge. He also sent me to a landing page showing the current agents in this market who were already members of this exclusive club. He also went on to ask me about zip codes and he told which exclusive area was available. He also told me that once I signed up I would start receiving leads almost immediately and the average number of leads was close to 15 a month. He concluded his sales pitch and informed me I would be contacted in a couple of days by someone from Member Services to get everything set up. Over a week went by and I hadn't heard from anyone, so I finally had to call to find out why I hadn't received anything. I signed up on December 21, 2010 and didn't speak to anyone until December 29, 2010. It was then that I discovered what I actually purchased was a website which was what I told Phil Doyle in the beginning I didn't want. There was no mention of being a member of the Leading Real Estate Experts and I hadnt' received a single lead. Now they want to charge me for a month of membership and it's obvious their website doesn't generate any leads unless you iniput listings into their system. This is a classic bait and switch. It amazes me how these website marketers come around every year or so cleverly disgusing themselves as the cure all to generating agent leads. What really tipped me off about them is that not long after Phil Doyle called I received other calls from the same 858 area code asking for other real estate agents. You see I use to be an agent with Re/Max Realty and somehow my phone number was used as their main number and I would receive all types of soliciation calls. I went round and round within the last couple of years trying to get them to remove my phone number from their database, but the calls kept coming. I finally had to register their number with the Do Not Call Registry and now they've surfaced again under a new scheme. They have grossly misrepresented what they're about and have used delay tactics in an effort to charge me for bogus services and not a single lead was generated through their website. All Realtors need to be on notice that this is a very poor product and very poorly presented. I attempted to cancel within a few days, but they don't respond in a timely manner and forget about reaching the sales represenative who sold it to you.
