Predatory Parking Portland

Pacific Audit Solutions is a predatory parking company owned by Greg Goodman and family who has been in the Portland parking business since 1955 and he owns about 25 blocks of downtown Portland and also owns City center parking and U-Park. He's one of the richest men in Oregon. He participates in city croanieism with the City of portland Parking Mgr. The companies REAL office address, e-mail and phone numbers (not the same thats on their tickets) is available by doing a quick search at the Oregon Secretary of State's office business registry as required by law on their website. A quick Google search with his name provides his pic, interviews with the Oregon business journal who hail him as a fantastic entreprenuer etc.

Pacific Audit Solutions is the predatory arm of his operation that has decided they can write PRIVATE NON-GOVERNMENT parking citations for much more than the parking fee. Again, in cahoots with the City Parking Manager and the City Attorney who wrote the ordinance. This is a new area and the new "Wild Wild West" as a citizen that recieves one of these private parking citations has no due process (a constitutional right). They tell you to file a complaint with the City of Portland parking manager (who remember, is a croanie of Greg's). They will throw around that they "Are Authorized" by city ordinance to collect these huge fines. Where this has gone on in other cities, class action law suits have been filed against the company and the city and some have been successful. People in Portland need to organize a class action suit, start contacting legislators, the mayor, the downtown business association, the BBB (which by the way has recieved numerous complaints on Pacific Audit Solutions) and the city council people or they will continue to scam the people. They will say they are doubling the fine if you don't pay, get your info from DMV and then start sending you threatening "collection agency type letters". Remember, they have NO LEGAL authority. If they do report your debt to a credit bureau you can dispute that debt to keep it from hurting your credit rating!

Their latest scam is to run PRIVATE pay to park stations on what people think is a city street for ONE or more hours after city park station hours. They post a hidden auditor there who runs out and slaps one of these PRIVATE parking tickets on your car. scam artists to the max!
