Gosh I haven't filed a report here in ages, last time I filed WE helped shut down a debt collection agency, one in Rockford, Ill. Anyway, some months back I got a call from a real person informing me that I have a past due AT&T account for an incorrect address here in LA. To which I said "huh?" and denied that the debt was mine & of course the moron calling could careless. I even contacted AT&T and they confirmed that I have no past due billing. Months went by & now I'm starting to get weekly phone calls, they're all robo-calls including one funny one that says by listening to the call it must be my debt. And todays robo call they finally say who they are - Palisades-something 'er other, thought they said Corrections, and a name that was jumbled - not my name. Amazing how they can even attempt to collect a debt that's not mine. Oh well, guess that's the life of a low life collection agency - they'll bang on any door they can in an attempt to scare some cash out of people. Perhaps a real person will eventually call again one of these days. Interesting to see a number of reports here about Palisades - confirms that they're surely a slimey bunch of frauds
