Panorama Towing overcharging, incopetent Santa Clarita, California

Our truck was broken down in the Los Angeles area. My dispatcher sent a repair guy out, turned out to be Panorama Towing. I didn't think of it at the time but I know I've heard of them before but in the heat of the moment, I just wanted my truck fixed. I had a tire that was almost flat. While I thought I was lucky that I caught it before it blew out and caused major damage to my truck or other motorists, I was mad to find out our company was charged $300 JUST TO AIR IT UP! Not to fix it which they would not do, just add air! My dispatch told me they charged $300 flat fee just to show up and that took 1 hour and it's not even a 10 minute ride from their shop! A brand new tire costs that! They made a point to mention they didn't charge us for air!! After doing more digging, I found out that this type of business IS NOT regulated in this state so they can charge whatever they feel like and get away with it. Bottom line, if your truck breaks down in the LA area, use common sense and shop around for roadside mechanics, no matter how desperate you are unless you want to have your wallet lightened significantly. I found out this company is/was involved in illegal impound towing at local truck stops when they actually took the trucks out of sight around the corner and just waited for the phone call from the driver to which they got hit with all kinds of bogus fees. It's stuff like this which some good small companies go out of business. In summary, this company is a bunch of sharks!!
