I have been searching for a long time to buy chickens. I found the "Paps Poultry" website, it looked ligitimete. I ordered (sent a check) the chicks the 11th of May. (The man goes by the name "Gary Broadwater" it is possibly an alias). "Gary" sent me an e-mail saying the chicks will arrive in 4 weeks. 5 weeks past...no chickens. 16 weeks past...no chickens. I've been trying to e-mail "Gary" in hope to cancel my order, and get my money back. (I sent him $100 via mail for 12 chicks). There are websites that discuss this "Gary Broadwater". And also try to warn people that he is a ripoff, and will steal your money.

I too ordered chicks from Gary Broadwater. I sent a deposit in July and the chicks were to ship in September. In October and November I requested my deposit back. Of course the man is GREAT at ignoring people. Today is December 14, 2011 and his web page states that the chicks are sold out for 2011 and still he holds my money. He gives the rest of breeders a VERY VERY bad name. I count myself BLESSED since he is the ONLY ripoff I have come across in the business.

I sent 160 for some chicks he said he would send them out in April well that week that he said went by then I emailed him he said they were still to young so he gave me another date that one came and nothing I emailed and said I am beginning to think you took my money and I get nothing in return he emailed me back and said it has been a few days sence he was on the Internet that he had a lot of emails to look at he would send them out that next week well that week went by nothing so I emailed him with very angry words basially telling him either send my birds or my money so he told me another date it came nothing I emailed him he said it was a little cold there he would try the next week well needless to say I still don't have my birds. You would think if you were running a business you would check you email every day but he doesn't not to mention there isn't a phone number to reach him at so people be aware of ordering anything from this man he will take your money.

ya i got riped off for 100 bucks 2 years ago.and i talked on the phone for an hour with the man .. what a dirt bag for ripping my kids off was my kids money they saved so the would have nice birds to show at our local fair.. and our 4 H group just sad how hes doing this to kids..
