They came out of the blue, talking about how they had looked at some of the homes in the area and was wanting to help home owners to get their hail and storm damage fixed. We had that-but we hadn't filed a claim, but my husband listened to the man and then set up an appointment with them. They came and went through all this stuff they could do for us and how they could work with our insurance company. When the adjuster made an appointment, they showed up-almost an hour late and the adjuster noted our roof,gutters, and siding. We only were allotted so much money from the insurance company and for them they were only willing to do the roof for the check amount. So we thought we would shop around for other estimates. We found 3 other qualified contracters that were willing to do all that the insurance company wanted for the amount of the check. Now they not only called every single day after we got the check, but told us that if we did not go with them that they could charge us up to 4,000 dollars for them coming out and calling our insurance company. WE NEVER SIGNED A CONTRACT WITH THEM! We were not unwilling to pay them 200 bucks, but they were wrong about us owing them money-the paper we signed clearly stated that we owed them nothing-NOTHING unless we chose them to do the job. They went from being , "We're going to take care of you guys" to "You guys can be sued". I have looked at other Patriot Restoration companies and just about every state they have a buisness in, there has been a slew of negative reports. I think these guys are out for insurance scams and they almost had us-but we're smarter than the average contractor. I don't like being bullied by anyone, and anyone wanting my buisness, shouldn't have to subject to putting on aires and promising to do things they know they can't or won't or phone harassment.
