Pep Boys is not a place to take your car. The sales people are rude, immature, and treat customers like the enemy from the getgo. I brought my car in because it was shaking violently. I described the issue and the manager, hugo, said it sounded like the rotors. I said I wasn't sure if it was that, a misfire, or what the problem was and that I want my car to stop shaking. He said he would check and call me. He had me sign a paper which I should have read which approved the break job, which I should have read because they tricked me into signing it. I requested the parts back to verify the work while outside giving him my keys. THey call me back saying my car is ready. I come in and they charge me over $200 dollars to do a break job. I asked if the car was driving well and it turned out they didn't even test drive my car. They never even checked to see if that was the problem. So basically I get back in the car, turn it on for a minute and it's shaking violently again seconds later. What really bothers me is that the car shakes the second you turn it on. So for them to even drive the car over to the garage, they would have to have felt the car shaking. Nobody took an interest to even figure out why my car is shaking, which is the reason I brought it in. They gave me a recomendation and said they would let me know if that was the issue, but they did not even call me to tell me if that's what was wrong... they just did it, charged me, and handed my car back to me just as bad as it was. I also didn't mention I didn't get the old parts back to even verify they did the work. And they best the assistant manager offered was 1/3 off on a diagnostics. I'm sad to say but I knew better than to go to pep boys but it was the only thing open at the time... so I took a chance on them. They are unprofessional, they honesty don't care about helping you get your car fixed, they don't care what the problem is, they just take your money.... who knows if the work is any good when they are fixing things that aren't broken and reccomending things that aren't even related to the problem... I lost a couple hundred bucks on nothing and they have no interest in keeping me as a customer. Steer clear of Pep boys. They aren't helpful at all and just take your money from you.
