After we Refinanced our house with Peter Skaggs we found out that he charged us more then $5000 in fees other lenders do not charge. Bank of America also gave us a quote more then $300 less in monthly payment and at all most half the out of pocket cost to close the loan.

Dear GabeV,

I haven't worked with a GabeV so I didn't know how communicate with you other then through this forum. I would love an opportunity to discuss your concerns. I pride myself in providing an honest and open mortgage experience. I give my customers the best product at the best price. If I truly didn't get you the best option available to you I would be glad to discuss a refund of my compensation or some other means of rectifying your concerns. Bank of American rarely can compete with my fees and pricing (they have way to much overhead to do so). In fact, just last Friday one of my loan officers compared an apples to apples quote for another client and we were beating BofA by .500% in rate (they quoted 3.75% and we quoted 3.25% on a 15 year fixed).

Some may not know that Banks, like BofA, don't have to disclose to their clients what they make on a refinance. Brokers, like us, get to disclose and are glad to do so. If our closing costs appeared to be higher then BofA's I am almost certain that it was due to this fact - they weren't telling you what they were really making in points. Perhaps you have a GFE of theirs that we could compare with the GFE you received from me. It may be that it is simply a misunderstanding of SRP vs YSP (see this article for clarification: http://www.examiner.com/mortgage-and-housing-in-national/ysp-srp-banks-versus-mortgage-brokers-facts-versus-fiction-what-is-srp).

Maybe BofA was better that given day and if that is the case I will do what is in my power to rectify the discrepancy for you.
