Premium Incentives
Premium Incentives Fly America Vacation Getaway We mailed money orders of $75.00 each ,total $150.00 to Premium Incentives, as well as the inital $7.9
18th of Mar, 2011 by User972715
My husband and I attended a 90 minute presentation for a vacation getaway package/timeshare type of program. We decided not to purchase, but for our time, received certificates to mail into a compnay called Premium Incentives / Fly America. By following the restrictive instructions, we would receive 2 adult certificates for tickets to fly out of and into specific cities within the continental United States. We followed all the instructions, including sending our initial $7.95 Processing Fee, and our $75.00 each (total $150.00) money orders in order to receive the Reservation Request Form, along with "clear readable copy of passenger(s) valid driver's license" to Premium Incentives attention Fly America Reservation Request Department, 4514 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd, Suite #340, Atlanta, GA 30338. We have not heard from a representative of the company since, and I cannot locate Premium Incentives on the internet. We followed all the instructions within the prescribed timeframes. Step 4: of the last instructions indicate a representative of Premium Incentives will contact su via U.S. mail, telephone, and/or email approximately 45 to 60 days in advance of our requested travel date. The requested travel dates are May 12 departure and May 16 return dates. This is March 19, 2011. It is 54 days before travel, and I cannot locate any information for Premium Incentives.

Thanks for posting this. We just attended a 90 minute program today also and the so called free airline tickets and 3 day 2 night stay says that we need to pay $50 each up front with the $5.00 processing fee. The fact that it doesn't allow us to choose our flight choices up front is interesting and the free of losing the $100 for the both of us. Did you finally hear back from your company? I'm not sure we'll do anything,

Thanks for sharing this...

And no, we didn't join this travel club either. We simply went hoping to get the free tickets and should've known better you need to go through hoops to get free airline tickets. I'm laughing also since prior to the meeting the phone operator stated that we'll receive the bonus gift of 3 day 2 night stay to a large choice of properties. She made it sound like we had one up on others when all along the stay is included. I'll know better never to go to one of these again. Hubby tried to discourage this

We had gone to their presentation & did not join the time share & now i feel lucky. Then i did send $150 to $75/each fair ticket & never heard of them which is definitely a big rip off. Exactly it happened to me, as in the article above. Looks like i lost $150 which is better than joining their time share anyhow. I personally say please do not even go to their time presentation & waste it. I never thought it can happen in USA & never had this kind of experiences so far. No doubt this kind of scams are going on in other countries. Hope this may help to readers. Thanks for sharing all above. GS

Similar to above, paid $150, when the time came for them to give us the details of our reservations, they said we needed to pay extra $120 per ticket because the dates we chose were very popular. Thus, our "free" tickets would cost us $202 per ticket!!! Just a scam! Also, they mistakenly sent us copies of some one elses driver's licences!!!

I attended one of these sessions also. They issued us a certificate. I am glad you all posted your experiences. I am not going to send them anything. I wonder if anyone actually went through the process and got airline tickets.

Similar to above here, this is responce from Premium Incentives

In consideration of the lack of promotional discounted airfare availability, Premium Incentives can only fulfill your currently over allocated requested travel dates and locations, with the payment of an additional surcharge and expense fee which equals $217.38 per ticket. You will still maintain a substantial value compared to retail pricing with acceptance of this option. In order to accept this option, the additional surcharge and expense fee amount must be received by Premium Incentives via a money order or cashier's check within seven (7) days from the date of this notice. Should you wish to accept this option after the passage of seven (7) days, Premium Incentives would be required to review and revise the surcharge amount based on the then current market conditions.

THIS COMPANY IS A WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORT

Similar to the above scam. Initial $7.95 fee followed by $150 deposit for 2 persons. When the time came I requested tickets to California and their answer was that It was a busy season and they could not accommodate our request unless we pay extra $308 per person and offer to either refund or postpone the trip to sometime in the future. We got the tickets from priceline.com for $421 and decided to ask for the refund. 2 certified mails and two emails later, they promised to send the money within 4 weeks. Today is almost 8 weeks and still we have not got our money back. So far I sent only one email to remind them though without much hope. I have made copies of all the communication and certified all the mailings because I felt "funny" from the beginning. I wonder if any one know of any ways or means to fight back these bad apples. I know $ 150 is not a lot of money to most people but imagine if they can fool even a few hundred thousands of us ...

Similar to the scam above. We attended the presentation in August and didn't join. We took the free gift and sent the initial 7.95 and 19.95 for the flight and cruise. We have not heard from the company at all. I won't be attending any more presentations.

We have the same situation, we mail the money in and have not heard anything from the Premium Incentive.

Beware on the cruise thing...I just got an email from them stating my 'free cruise" isn't free at all. Here's one of the email responses I received from them:

The mailing you refer to did not come from Premium Incentives. Please scan it and forward that document. The cruise is not "free". Per the certificate and the website, the ncf's alone can range from $89-$259 per person. The cruise fee includes those ncf's + taxes + cruise fees + upgrades. The amounts referred to in our cruise fee due notice are 100% accurate.

This is the response to me saying that the cruise was free according to the mailing I got that said that if I called the number, I got a free cruise.

In addition to the $100 I already paid, I was informed that I would have to pay an additional $359.79 (interior) or $439.79 if I wanted to upgrade my room. I asked for a breakdown of the fees and this is all I could get from them. Beware...it isn't free...it actually is about the same amount if I'd just gone onto the Carnival website and booked my cruise direct.

The $359.79 or the $439.79 includes everything (other than the base cruise fare), the NCF's (which stands for non commissionable fees), the port taxes, our cruise fees, and the seasonal upgrade for summer season. As mentioned previously, the cruise away is not "free". We are fully aware of how our certificate works. The cruise fee is required to complete this cruise certificate redemption. All of the fees have been clearly disclosed.

These are promotional travel certificates and there are terms & conditions required to redeem the certificate benefits. If you have a promotional travel certificate, you should start off by carefully reading the terms & conditions so you can understand the costs, procedures, and benefits. There is absolutely no reference on either the certificate, the website, or the disclosure form actually signed by the consumer that indicate that the certificate redemption as being "free". In fact, the required fees are clearly disclosed on the certificate forms and the website. That being said, the certificates certainly do provide a significant and substantial economic discount compared to the outright purchase of retail priced airfare, cruise fare, or resort accommodations.

On behalf of all of us who received and acted upon this offer, while Premium Incentives may not have said "free" on any of their communications, the companies who used you to draw people in did. I have the documentation to prove it and plan to post those and all your restrictive procedures online. We are still waiting for our refund! We should have known this is a scam when a company is too afraid to post a phone number anywhere on their forms.

Totally agree with those who have been ripped-off, I sent over $150 to Fly America, kept my paperwork and never heard a thing. I do have a name though-for anyone who can get a phone link -MARK WILLIAMSON- was at one point a facilitator for the APPs=He was pretty high up corporate or so it seemed. This deserves a class action. The lack of a phone # is the killer.

We also did the "free" tickets. Sent in the 150.00 in the allotted time. Our trip is in 30days and we have not heard one thing from them. Now that I'm seeing the ones that did get some kind of contact from this company and they are being charged over $200.00 more for their flight it isn't worth them contacting us. I'm not paying them a penny more. This company should be closed down for fraud. I agree we can kiss our 150.00 good bye. Joke is on us.

We also attended a presentation on vacations by Oasis in Southlake, Texas and were offered as an incentive to attend the presentation (1) a FREE voucher for 2 airline tickets and (2) a $100 discount on restaurants. Neither of these are free as was stated by Oasis as a gift for our attending in lieu of their spending money on advertising. Both of these FREE gifts are ripoffs. They are not free at all and the hurdles over which you must go to use the airline tickets and the amount that you must spend and the gratuity added to your bill when using the restaurant card make both a scam. Do not waste your time at an Oasis presentation and do not deal with Premium Incentives. Both are scams and the firms are unethical.
